Glen Eyrie is located in an awesome setting. We adventured on a hike from the castle grounds to a mountain that overlooks the Garden of the gods. We stayed in the Oaks Lodge since there was a conference going on in the castle, but enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the castle terrace the next morning.

Quiet and breathtaking. No TV's. The staff are helpful. The meals are terrific! The wedding I attended was a delight. The "Castle" (big mansion) is what romance stories are made from. The rooms in the "Castle" are divine! The man at checkin needs to lighten up... like the rest of the checkin people. Do stay in the "Castle"!

I stayed at Glen Eyrie as part of a musicians' conference and was amazed by the natural beauty of the location. My room in Big Horn Lodge was spacious, clean and very adequate. My wife and I attended an Innovo retreat at Glen Eyrie. The morning and evening devotional times were just enough to jump start the rest of the day. We came away spiritually refreshed. Stayed at The Oaks. Comfortable, simple retreat-accomodations. Food was good. The valley is beautiful, restful and unique.

We stayed two nights at Glen Eyrie on a vacation celebrating 20 years of marriage. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The grounds are a true gem, with trails around the grounds for every type of hiker. We plan on coming back and bringing our four kids next time.
