I see some of the people have written negative reviews on this place and I kind of get it but think there is more to the story. The hotel might not be perfect if you like spotless grounds and prefer a first-class location. It's a little rough here with a few homeless and aimless wanderers but NOT dangerous.

I was a little confused when I drove up as it looks like an apartment/condo complex. Thats what it is. My room is huge, and I could totally live in here. There is a small kitchen with full sized kitchen, stove, microwave, dishes etc. There is a nice living room area and spacious bathroom. It's the best room I have had in quite some time.

There are restaurants in close walking distance and parking is great.

When I checked in the staff was charming and I felt good about being here.

I've got another day here and think I am going to leave with good memories.

The price is good, and the central location is good. But this place is definitely average. The room itself is nice and roomy, but don't plan on doing any actual cooking. The kitchen is minimally stocked. There were 2 people in our room; we had 2 plates, 2 mugs, 2 forks, etc. We had to wash our dishes after each and every use. We did have a full-size frig, so we were able to store our leftovers from the local restaurants, and we were able to make coffee. Be sure and bring your own cleaners and disinfectants. The place felt dirty, and we did find a live roach. Gross. Also, don't be fooled by their advertisement of a "breakfast." It was a joke. We got a few items in a little brown bag every morning that was identical for 7 days. Identical and boring. But with all of that said, overall our stay was fine ... and average.

This resort was great for the price we paid. Had a wonderful room that was very clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast for COVID. Most places were giving a bag with one or two things in it and the Sonesta bags had juice and a breakfast sandwich you could take to your room and heat along, along with a few other things. You can see Pikes Peak from the pool! Resort grounds could use a little updating, but overall the staff is great, the breakfast was great and our room was great! Stayed three nights and it had plenty of space to spread out and relax a little!

Well it is a clean and roomy place with a kitchen. It was a terrible location if your here for hiking because the hikes are about 30 min up the road past manitou. The traffic is horrible here!! Its actually so bad you dont want to drive to eat in the evenings. The room, when we walked up had glass from a broken wine glass in the front yard. The bed didn't have a a fitted sheet, just 2 flat sheets, with a terrible mattress cover with many holes. The air conditioner wouldn't cool past a certain temp...I was sweating every night. The laundry only had one dryer working for the whole facility on a Sunday. They only cleaned the room once during the week. When I called the front desk about the bed, a guy showed up with wrong size sheets that I put on myself and had to go back to the front to ask for a blanket since he took it. Unacceptable. Lets just say we wont be back.

I was in a car accident while passing through Colorado Springs and ended up staying at the Sonesta for a week while my car was repaired. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, and did feel like we had our own apartment (as opposed to living in a hotel room).

Most importantly, the customer service was outstanding! Duane at the front desk is a saint and/or superhero. He helped us get set up with an early check in minutes after our car was towed and checked in to offer assistance throughout our stay. They were also very accommodating in keeping our reservation flexible, as the repair process didn't exactly go smoothly so we weren't sure if we'd be there for days or weeks.

The pictures online must be from 20 years ago. Yes similar but this place is in need of a desperate renovation. The day I checked in is the day I checked out. I wish I would’ve taken some pictures but we were in a hurry to get out of there. It was dark and the area a little sketchy. They are outside rooms with direct outside access and the lobby is in its own building. Checked the sheets they were dirty and stained. Carpet stained. Bathroom eh. The gal working said 3 other people did the same thing that day. We were number 4. They would not refund my stay. The gal working did, but next day I was contacted and they refused it.

We had a family group of 11 who booked 4 rooms/suites. The rooms were nice, convenient and clean. The staff was pleasant an helpful. Due to the Covid pandemic, there was no hot breakfast, however they did provide a gab and go breakfast. There was no housekeeping again, due to the pandemic, however, they were very happy to allow us to change out towels and get supplies as needed. The pool was not open when we arrived, but was up and going in a couple of days. They did have amenities that were very accommodating to our family. A basketball court and playground made for a great end of the day family area for us. All things considered, we were very pleased with our stay. There are long term tenants at this property, but that did not cause us any concerns or issues.

The staff was nice, but the lack of a maintenance program is catching up to the place. We reported no air conditioning the first day we got there and they never did fix it. I pulled off the filter over the AC unit inside because the build up was so bad, the fan could hardly blow any air. Likely had not been changed in years. A leaking sink in the upstairs filled the cabinet with water and soaked the floor. The leak was on the wrong side of the shut off valve so there was nothing I could do but report it. The grounds are not regularly cleaned, nor is the pool maintained. If all you need is a place with one bathroom (we needed two), I suggest looking elsewhere. As an FYI, we had to book this place last second because the house we had rented was sold and the old owners failed to mention that until the day before our arrival.

The rooms had enough space for our family to sleep comfortably and the kitchen area was well stocked. The staff was friendly. We came in April so the pool was not ready yet. The bathtubs backed up with water and housekeeping never came to empty the trash in the two days we were there. Also, The temperature gauge was not working and when I asked for help, the person at the desk was unsure how to help. A very basic place to stay. Beautiful view of Pikes Peak.

This place was the dirtiest place i have ever stayed inside and out. The grounds had trash cans overflowing and garbage laying everywhere. The dog crap filled the grounds and you could smell it if you had a window open. The pool was dirty. The floors on the inside of room were disgusting. I don't think the windows have ever even cleaned since it was built. The bathroom was leaking behind shower wall. The shower curtain was molded. The furniture was like bricks and couldn't even sit on it. The wifi was worthless as it went off every few minutes. Not a good place at all.

you can not smoke MJ in common areas, we have families with children who do not want to be exposed to it. You can not smoke in the rooms either.

You may smoke outside, it must be away from all of the room entrances so the smoke does not go into any nearby rooms and bother our non-smoking guests.

Yes it is. I've lived here for quite a few months and out side of that one incident about a month ago between two cars chasing each other shooting, nothing else crime wise happens.
