Ok, this place is definitely not modern and doesn't have hair dryers but this isn't as important to me as comfort and cleanliness and the Sandhiller provides both. The heater warmed the room in short order and the shower had high pressure and hot water in a few moments. My bed was comfortable and yes, a couple of trains went... More

This motel is well worth the price . The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice area. The restaurant is more than a restaurant, it is a STEAK HOUSE. The salad bar was full and good. Well stay here, every time we're in Wray.

Location is critical to this motel. My room was 50 yards (really, 50 yds) from a rail line. I was awaken 5 times the night I spent there. I was tired from an early morning and a few hours of bike riding, but each time the trains went by they blared their whistles at the crossing. I would stay away... More

rooms look like they have not been updated since the place was built. clean is the only thing it has going for it. the restaurant has a buffet that has very bland food. everything else I have tried from the menu is edible. better places in town to eat

The BEST thing I can say about this places is that it didn't have bugs. The second best thing I can say about it is that the carpet seems to be slightly newer than the 40 y/o furnishings. If you like run-down, early '70's retro then you'll find this place to be heaven. The sheets are thin, the pillows flat,... More

The Sandhiller Motel meets the bare minimums for the general traveler. If there were more options, or any other options in Wray, the rating would be even lower, but this is basically the only game in town. furniture is scarred, rooms generally seedy, but recent new carpet and drapes. The room was clean, which is why I gave it 2... More
