I had a very nice time staying at the Deacon Timothy Pratt B&B. When we checked in our room it was so nice and clean. I also like my blankets and comforters cleaned when there is a new check-in, and I didn't see any hairs on my sheets, blankets, shower or floors. The blankets and comforters were fresh and clean... The Deacon Timothy Pratt House is an 18th-century house that is old but not particularly charming. It's smaller than the advertising might lead one to believe, and the spaces, at least on the ground floor, are a little "on top of one another." For instance, the Library room, which is said to be adjacent to the breakfast room, actually has... More

My wife and I stayed at the Deacon Timothy Pratt for two nights, and had our marriage ceremony there during our stay. The staff's friendliness, helpfulness, and attention to detail blew us away, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. They made all the arrangements with the justice of the peace for our ceremony, and Pat (who was... More

Here is a copy of a letter I sent to the B & B after our stay. They have not responded. Your inn was clean, our room comfortable and the location convenient. We visit Old Saybrook from time to time and were happy to find lodging just 5 minutes away from the home of our sister and her family. While... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. The room was wonderful, the fire enjoyable, the Jacuzzi was relaxing. The mornings breakfast was very, very good! Thank you!

My husband and I stayed at the Deacon Timothy Pratt for one night to belatedly celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We loved it! Everything was made easy from reserving a room to finding the place. We were greeted warmly by Janet who was very professional and polite. The room we chose was gorgous-we loved the jacuzi tub and the fireplace... More

My fiance and I stayed at this B&B on a holiday weekend, Presidents' Day 2012... Because we stayed on Sunday and had breakfast on Monday, it was what they referred to as a breakfast of fresh fruit, baked goods, etc. Well, it was a bomb, it was DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!! For a stay costing $230 for one night on a weeknight for... More

The Deacon Timothy Pratt B&B is a nine room facility. We pride ourselves in making sure our guests feel at home. Being that we are a small staff in size, we try to make ourselves available 100%. There are times when we need to bring a guest to the train station, or perhaps go out and run some errands, but... More

We stayed in the Library at the Pratt House for one night, and it was a very delightful experience. From the antique decorations to the journals that have been filled out by other guests through the years, we took in all the details. We relaxed in the whirlpool tub and also had a fire in the fireplace. Breakfast was more... More

A weekend getaway from New York, and this was a wonderful location. This was one of the friendliest places I have ever stayed. we were collected from the station and given a quick tour of town highlights. Our rooms were both charming, and the location perfect. Breakfast has to been experienced to be believed. Despite the fact that we were... More

Stayed as part of a promotion in January 2012. We had the Miss James Suite. overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The property is very convenient to the main street area in old saybrook. Our room was well furnished, very comfortable bed with a modern, clean bathroom. Everything in the main house is lovely, lots of nice decorative touches. Innkeeper... More
