Breakfast never arrived. No staff on site even at 8am on a weekday. Best part was that the property links to a walking trail on the other side of the pond. Great to walk the dog. We had a picnic on the lawn because we knew, in advance, that the restaurant would be closed. The only other couple at the... More

Something must have happened to this inn, or some earlier reviewers were hallucinating. It is a lovely building in a beautiful site, but the bed felt like we were sleeping on concrete--my back hurt for two days. Stonehenge is supposed to be a great restaurant, but the croissants we received in the morning were dry husks--I've had better from grocery... More

From descriptions on the internet, this looked like a very appealing inn. In the event, it proved rather disappointing. The Stonehenge Inn is located on a spur road off a rather busy highway (Connecticut Route 7), a location rather less rural than it seemed in prospect. The property is not that extensive, and the possibilities for walks in its immediate... More

I don't have anything strongly negative to say about the Stonehenge Inn, but I'm not brimming with praise either. The food was pretty average. Various reviews posed a question asking whether Stonehenge is Connecticut's best restaurant. Maybe my expectations were set at unreasonable levels by that question but the answer is unambiguously "No." While the value for money was good,... More

There are some nice things about this inn. It has an appealing, quaint sort of look to it, and if you are doing something in or around Ridgefield the location is ideal. But it is clear that the owners have not taken care to maintain the condition of the property or to look after the details of their guests' experience.... More

I stayed here over 20 years ago when it was really wonderful. The rooms were crisp, clean and well appointed. Dinner in the restaurant was superb, the mattress was comfy, pilllows soft and ample in number, light in the room was bright and made the room so welcoming. Breakfast delivered the next morning arrived in a huge willow basket with... More

I thank the Stonehenge Inn for helping to make our family gathering a big success. The second I saw the private grounds and pond, the old clapboard houses and lawns, I breathed a sigh of relief. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, the staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming. They set us up with a great private room overlooking... More

Nice inn close to the town and activities. Attended a performance at the Ridgefield Playhouse and toured around Ridgefield. Breakfast was lacking, although included it only contained a croissant, juice and coffee or tea - but it was delivered to the room. Staff was nice but aloof.

It's not a Relais and Chateau property, (read: the rooms are a touch tired looking) but the service is top notch. Everyone is very kind, helpful, friendly and accommodating. Plus, the setting--on a nice piece of property, with nice lawns, overlooking a small pond--is beautful! Great bang for your buck! Good for a family stay.
