This beautiful old inn is worlds apart from the overblown luxury resorts that one associates with Florida. In fact, it may disappoint travelers accustomed to the luxury found in hotels like the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. I spent a long weekend at the Gasparilla in December. It was such a wonderful experience. The inn is beautiful. It is a mix of Southern-style charm and elegance. The service was impeccable! The room was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend it. I really hated to leave.
