As I walked into reception I didn't think I would like this hotel - it seemed like a typical huge resort hotel and a little scruffy round the edges. We had a great stay! Nice clean hotel, nice staff and great views. The beach was a little bit of a walk but very nice. The restaurant was great. We ate there twice. One time was for sunset and there was a band playing and a great atmosphere. Would definitely return.

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel without ever having stayed there before and we were pleasantly surprised! Clean and comfortable and very close to the beach - short walk. Close to all amenities as well. Everyone was friendly and I would highly recommend this hotel and stay there again if ever back in the Clearwater Beach area.

*Be aware - if booking online at the Holiday Inn website, the room descriptions are not accurate. They claim there is a King gulf suite - which the local staff told me there is not!
