My husband and I stayed here in May 2012 with a group of friends for a relaxing/fun weekend. It was ok, but I feel it was overpriced for what you get and the service you receive. I would look at other hotels before returning if I wanted to go to Daytona for the same type of event again. Arrival/Parking -... More

We have family in the Daytona area, so we stay in town several times a year. The Shores Resort and Spa is the nicest of the accommodations we have found (and of course the most expensive). The hotel is clean and well-kept; the beach is pristine; the saltwater pool and jacuzzi were refreshing. We had an oceanfront king room with... More

My husband and I live in the Daytona area and decided to stay at the Shores for our anniversary night. The woman at the front desk I believe her name was Jeanine, was extremely helpful in getting us a room and was able to upgrade us to make our special night even better! We had an amazing view of the... More

This property is the hidden gem of the East Coast! My husband and I use any excuse we can find to stay at this property. There is absolutely nothing negative that can be said about it. If you want to be treated like royalty, and play like a spoiled rich kid, this place is for you!!! Fresh linens, pastel walls,... More

Our large family group went to celebrate an Embry-Riddle Graduation. Daytona beach is one of the most unattractive beach cities I've every visited but if you have to be there The Shores is a nice hotel right on the beach with good service and better than average food. The beds were comfy. I was eaten alive by bugs... no screens... More

I had visited The Shores twice in the past and just loved it. It is a really cute property with neat decor. However, my third visit was horrible. I wanted to get an extra pack of coffee for my room and I could not get the front desk to even answer the phone. I went and asked in person and... More

We recently stayed at the Shores Resort and Spa for 6 nights. (May 6-12 ) Because of some of the reviews we hesitated to spend that much if it was going to be an unpleasant experience. The hotel looked very nice, though a lot of the ceilings were a little low as in the inside dining room, but to us,... More

My husband and I have frequented The Shores a number of times. The property is lovely, the outdoor areas for eating and swimming are relaxing and lovely. They have a gate code with direct access to the beach. In general, we have a really nice time. Twice we've stayed with out our two-year old daughter and this time, we brought... More

I must admit I didn't expect much from this hotel based on prior experience at Daytona. This hotel is beautifully decorated, and the staff at all areas were very helpful and friendly. The food was very good, and again the staff were very accommodating to my request for vegan meals. The room was large, bright and comfortable, with beautiful views.... More

We stayed at the Shores Resort in early May, and it happened to coincide with the full moon - the view of the moon rise from the deck was spectacular! The food was very good, and the service is great. The rooms and property amenities are very nice; we did not use the spa, but it is very highly regarded.... More
