If you are looking for quiet relaxation with a few activities, such as beach strolling, shell collecting, bird and tortoise watching, this is the place. Located directly on the beach the Manasota Beach Club has charming accomadations in the form of one bed room bungelows to full size one floor homes. The central dining room is easily located and provides... More

I have just returned, March 8 2012, from a wonderful stay at MBC. I traveled with my 80 year old mother and my 50 year old sister! I stayed in a cottage called Pelican! All lodging is named after local birds. Mom and Hilly resided in the ultimate Ibis. A two bedroom, 2 bath full self sustaining house directly on... More

We spent a week in September in the Sanderling cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach was just a few steps away. The cottage was clean and the staff is pleasant. We enjoyed the covered porch overlooking the ocean and saw bald eagles and dolphins while having our morning tea. We walked the beach, played in the ocean, found... More

We (3 people) recently spent 15 days at Manasota Beach Club in the Ibis cottage. A bit pricey; just over $5000.00 for the time there. The Ibis cottage is a large 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage with living room, dining room, kitchen (with a dishwasher and disposal), laundry room (what a luxury on vacation), screened in porch that leads directly... Cottages for family style living with planned activities for all ages. Activities such as tennis, swimming, games, cards are planned right for the day. Shell paths through the palms, orchids, hybiscus, ferns and grasses. Manasota's oyster shell paths lead the guests through the dunes and onto the long and clean beaches. Swimming and boating and shelling and sunning are top... More

The arrival of our first baby lead us to change our well established winter holiday routine of going to Mauritius and staying in 5 star hotel resorts, instead visiting the Manasota Beach Club (MBC) in early 2010. The place is made up of a cluster of older style houses, around a central club house, where meals are served and other... More

This is the fourth year in a row staying at Manasota. If you are looking for a place to relax with your family, hang out at the beach, fish, snorkel and watch beautiful sunsets without a crowd, then this is your place. The staff is accomodating and the houses are charming. We have stayed in the lovebird, the Sanderling, the... More

This is my third time spending my spring vacation at the Manasota Beach Club, and I can't get enough of it. The food, service, hospitality and overall welcoming "homey" feel of the Club is unmatched by any other hotel or inn I have visited (which says a lot). Whether you are on a vacation with your spouse, alone, or with... More

The Manasota Beach Club is not a "spa retreat" or luxury resort but it exudes class, environmental awareness and it is fancy in its own way. We stayed for two nights. We were in the Upper Owl Cottage and it was during the Modified American Plan time period meaning that breakfast and dinner were included. We had a full kitchen... More

My family spent an extended weekend at the Manasota Beach Club, after finding it by internet. We are always seeking "Old Florida" (the way it was 50 years ago) and found it here. The innkeepers have preserved a substantial piece of property bordered by the Gulf of Mexico and the Intercoastal Waterway. There are no commercial buildings allowed on this... More
