We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2012, originally booked 2 nights but enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed an extra night. We had a lovely room in a littel courtyard area by one of the pools. We hardly saw a soul when we were there so it was like having our own private swimming pool. The room was... More

We stayed in this motel for two nights which was acceptable but we would not recommend to stay there longer. The staff was not very friendly nor very helpful. The whole place was rather shabby but the room itself was ok. However, it was situated right next to crowded bars. There was no wifi. The floor was filthy but the... More

We went as a Group, upon check in we found out they had moved us to the WORST Room in the Place and away from the group. We had made our reservations 6 weeks ago as a group. The front desk additude was I really don't care what your problem is because we are sold out. We have your money... More

There are some new rooms and that is why the reviews are conflicting. We had an old room.so small you can,t walk around the bed,and when you are in the bed you can,t sleep because of the terrible creaking noise. The bathroom was old and dingey with holes in the skirting boards, where creepy crawlies came out at night. There is nowhere to hang... This is an older style Florida motel, it was very clean and comfortable. A full size refrigerator was in our room. The bathroom was a bit smaller. Excellent if you want to be close to the downtown area and beach. Pools were heated. The only drawback is they need to pick up the garbage in the boat dock area.

We had a small room on the 2nd floor out back. And by small, I mean enough room to walk around the bed. I don't mind small, but I mind dingy. There was mold/wood rot in the bathroom and the grout looked moldy. The location is great and there is a nice place to sit by the canal out back,... More

The location of the Shipwreck is perfect, close to food shopping & beach. The rooms are clean and bright. The 2 ladies that are at the check in desk are really nice. I haved stayed here 3 times, with kids and without, and have never been disappointed!

My wife and I along with another couple spent four days at the Shipwreck Motel Crescent St. cottage. The cottage was just perfect for us. When we arrived the place was spotless and looked as good if not better than the photos on the website. There was a new flat-screen TV mounted to the wall that was an upgrade from... More

If your looking for a great beach location without spending a ton of money this is the place to stay. The location is wonderful, right across the street from the beach. The room was very clean, comfy beds and had a kitchen which was a great plus. The staff at this hotel could not have been better. Everyone was so... More

Me and my friends had a hard time finding a place to stay in the Fort Myers Beach area because a lot of places didn't allow guests under the age of 23 or 25. The motel was well kept and was the perfect location to get the beach, shopping, and different restaurants. We did not have a car so it... More
