After a very long flight from Kenai, Alaska, the Inn was a perfect place to gather my thoughts and relax. I stayed in the little (very spacious) cottage. Unfortunately business took me to Gainesville so I didn't get to mingle as I had planned; so I'll do another trip so I can make it to "happy hour" in the evening.... More

If I tell you just how great this place is, then it might be full the next time I go to Gainesville. I prefer a B&B when I travel alone, since I know a real person is expecting me and it makes me feel just a little safer. So, I've been in many B&B's and can say that this is... More

We recently enjoyed our first experience at a bed and breakfast. As soon as the opportunity came up for us to take another trip, my husband's first statement was "let's try a bed and breakfast". The purpose of our trip was to visit our daughter who is a 2nd year resident at Shands @ UF. We were definitely blessed by... More

Pat and Tom did it again! This was our third stay at their B&B in The Anticipation Room and it did not disappoint. We continue to feel worlds away from the responsibilities of life and completely relaxed each time we visit Gainesville thanks to The Camellia Rose Inn. We even came away with a new vision for our marriage and... More

My husband and I decided to check out Gainesville as a possible retirement community on our way back north from our third winter in Southwest Florida. The owner Pat could not have been more accommodating, answered all of our questions about the area. We loved our room, The Lady Clare, and she served a wonderful breakfast. While there, we read... As locals living in Gainesville, Kelly and I wanted to escape the pressures of School life (For her), and work life (For me). We planned this night off a month in advance and received courtesy emails confirming our stay. The house was excellent, Pat and Tom were amazingly friendly, and the whole atmosphere was great. The room we stayed in... More

Wonderful place to stay. Had everything we needed and more. Have already recommended this to some of our friends. Everything was very clean and fresh looking. They serve wine in the evenings, also have brownies and other refreshments if you don't like wine. The breakfast was amazing.

Being new at retirement, we "practiced" taking our time from Minnesota en route to Florida. After a few 9 hour days of travel, complete with snow, wind and ice, what a welcome site it was to pull into the great town of Gainesville! Pat greeted us with such genuine warmth, that we instantly began experiencing the rest and relaxation we... More

We were made aware of this property by friends of ours. Even after their glowing recommendation the Camellia Rose Inn exceeded our expectations. Pat and Tom the proprietors, made us feel right at home. Our room and bath area was spotless and everything was very well organized. We will make this our place to stay in Gainesville.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay for one night. Pat was a great hostess and even took the time to call us the day before to make sure that the breakfast that she was planning to serve would be ok for my 9 year old. The room was beautifully decorated, super clean and very comfortable. The wine and... More
