Just back from a UF seniors award dinner. Must say it was the WORST food I have ever eaten. Truly when they coined the phrase Banquets are "rubber chicken dinners," they must have had dinner at this hotel. Service was also poor -- very surly wait staff.

Had a pleasant stay, it was not too expensive, yet the room was very comfortable, with a private terrace.

The roaches and ants are understandable.... Paramount is located VERY near a wildlife preserve. However I woke from the first night with a bite on my face. I came to Gainesville for a friend's birthday and had the most splendid time! We spent most of the time at the bar chatting with the friendly bartenders. The bartender Evan in particular was specifically hospitable. I will certainly be coming back.

This is a great place to stay. Its on a beautiful lake and feels very homey. The staff is great and very accommodating. Tracy was great! And helped me with my needs. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay if your ever in the area.
