I stayed 2 nights and i must say it was a new and nice experience for me to sleep in a boat....George the owner was friendly and helpful. The locations might be the only negative point, in terms of reaching the Boatel.

We stayed three nights in one of the boat houses at the boatel. The house was very comfortable and clean, they had done many improvements. The staff was fantastic! George, Tracy and Gary made us feel very welcome and were very helpful. We loved sitting out on one of our many balconies and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We also made...

We stayed three nights at the Boatel. George the owner is a great host and the accommodations were excellent albeit not luxurious. We had the 2 bedroom second floor condo above George’s suite called the Crow's Nest. The beds were comfortable, rooms nicely decorated and had two great balconies. I enjoyed taking the free kayak out for some sightseeing and...

We took our grandsons to the Boatel and had a great time. George, the owner, is a nice guy that lives on one of the boats, and saw to it that we were well taken care of. He also runs a boat rental next door, so we had free use of kyaks when they were available. Snorkeling is available and...

unique way to experience Key Largo - right on the water. We stayed in "Stress Relief" for two nights and it was spacious and clean although rather rustic. One of the decks provided spectacular sunrises each morning. We enjoyed kayaking on the lagoon, which was so quiet and peaceful. Also an easy walk to restaurants etc. and very close to...

We learned about the Boatel from a diver at our local dive shop in Wisconsin. We checked out Tripadvisor, and called George to set up the nights we wanted. What a pleasant surprise. The gentle rocking of the boat as the fishing boats went by in the early morning set the stage; that this was experiencing the Keys through the...

Views are spectacluar. Difficult to get your luggage up the spiral staircase (has one step missing half of its platform). You will have to wash your dishes and electric skillet in the bathtub or bathroom sink. There are no towels for drying dishes, so you'll use your bathtowels (and what were they used on?). There are no utensils for cooking....

I took my mom to Key Largo and we were so glad we stayed at the Boatel. George was the most accomodating host and we had the greatest time fishing and canoeing through the mangroves. What a unique place to stay, can't wait to go back!
Each year my kids and I go on a "Grand Adventure", we have spent a week camping in Glacier National Park and a week in Yellow Stone National Park. We decided this year it was time to leave the mountains and explore the ocean! We were looking for something that wasn't so "Commercialized" and would allow us the opportunity to...

Took my two teenage sons for Spring Break visit to the Keys; stayed at the Boatel for 5 nights. We stayed on boat #2, which was plenty of space for 3 people. We even brought our small dog. The boat had two beds and a fold-out bed, bathroom, kitchenette, 2 TVs, and a/c that worked great. Very comfortable; great view....
