We did not stay at the campground but drove through the safari. If you are an animal lover you will enjoy driving through the area. Don't go too late in the day like we did as it will not leave you enough time to go through the area of the park where you are able to walk and see some... More

Visited the safari prior to heading back to Canada, great location and activities. The drive through animal safari is great never being this close to a rhino, great place highly recommend it. I was surprised to see that the restaurant food prices within the park was reasonable in comparison to other parks.

Clean, plenty of nice accommodations, and a great time right next door to Lion Country Safari. Sites are a little "trailer parky" feeling without much privacy, but its more about the location and destination rather than a true "camping experience". Great experience. Driving through safari is very cool, comfortable experience. They provide an audio DVD for narration. Animals are very close to road. We had an ostrich pecking an our car. I participated in a Scout camping event here in October 2012. The grounds are very clean, bathrooms/showers especially. That was welcome. This place rocks! We took our family to the Dave Matthews Show at nearby amphitheater and woke up to lions roar. The next day we spent it at the safari.
