I stayed at Portofino with my parents and boyfriend while visiting Universal Studios. We wanted a hotel on property and after looking at the Hard Rock and Royal Pacific, decided this was the place for us. They had a variety of restaurants with indoor and outdoor dining, but we mostly ate outside as the weather and atmosphere of the resort... More

We enjoyed our stay here and the express pass included with the room is an excellent perk. It made for the best experience I have had in an amusement park in years. The rooms are just average (garden view, not really a view but I wasn't expecting one), I have paid less for a better room. Others have talked about... More

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It is not Italy - but it is beautiful and does have a laid back European feel to it. The front desk staff went out of their way to find the best available room. The rooms were clean, well furnished and very quiet, even though we were on the first floor with bay frontage. If... More

My family and I had a great experience there. With 3 kids it was the perfect set up for going to the parks. The fast passes that were provided for guest plus the water taxi device as well as the early entry more than made up for the price of room. We parked our vehicle and did not have to use... More

The check in for this hotel was smooth and uneventful. The property is clean and well cared for. The staff was very eager to help. Rooms are large and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom systems all worked well and room clean up was prompt and efficent. Had dinner at Mamas and found the food and service to be good,... More

If you want real Italy, you should travel there. Otherwise for a Vegas-like experience of manufactured reality, check in to Lowes Portofino. Let me just say that this is not a derogatory review. I simply got overwhelmed by the fake Italian atmosphere. Never the less,I would highly recommend the property for its amenities, quality of service and proximity to parks... More

A perfect hotel for a trip to the Universal attractions in Orlando. The hotel is a fantastic group of buldings located around a small bay that gives you the impression to be in Portofino in Italy. During four days stay, we had a confortable room with bayview and small balcony overlooking the bay and hotel buildings around the bay. The... More

This is our third time staying at the Portofino at Universal. We usually stay at the Hard Rock, but we got a great rate this time, so we decided to upgrade to the Portofino. The hotel is very pretty, as it sits on a bay and looks just like an Italian resort. There are more than a few restaurants to... More

This should've a great hotel. It is designed well, the concept is good, and the location allows you easy access to Citywalk and the Universal parks. It's also well located for accessing other Orlando holiday activities (if you have a car). But, it just misses the mark. Somehow it is just not as good as it should, and could, be.... More

We very much enjoyed our stay February 15 – 18. We got upgraded to a balcony room overlooking the bay (score!!!). We loved the excellent and friendly service, incomparable view and ambience (arias!), great room, and Express Pass. The only thing less than perfect was the beach pool slide was closed and we kept getting conflicting / confusing information about... More
