This is a filthy, dirty, old, nasty place. Do not book this hotel under any circumstance. It is false advertised online (see the pictures I took for further information). It is in horrible condition and not recommended at all.

My husband went in to check out our room that was supposed to have two beds in it to find out the was only a pull out couch. Room was not clean and was very dirty! We immediately went and returned our key and did not stay. Nasty, dirty, and did not feel safe. Complained to the desk clerk when I returned the key. Spoke to the manager requesting a refund since we did not stay and she would not refund our money. Yes FILTHY place!

It is obvious the "GREAT" reviews for this FILTHY place are not from REAL customers. This was one of the filthiest hotels I have ever stayed in, and there was NO INTERNET, the TV was not working, and there was no one at the desk at 930pm to ask. People throw cigarette butts from the second floor , and the collection of trash around the grounds is disgusting. There are chairs outside random rooms, and it is obvious people "live" there. I found out it is a halfway house! THAT SHOULD BE REVEALED WHEN YOU BOOK IT!!! I would sleep in my car, rather than stay there again,. I paid for two nights, and left and stayed at a REAL hotel the same night I ARRIVED> THAT is how bad it was.

Let me start by saying I give all motels a "chance" and sometimes ignore reviews because I feel folks are comparing them (motels) to hotels and there is just no comparison. As you can see to the left I have reviewed ALOT of hotels/motels. Most motels are decent and I can deal w/ the lesser conveniences and amenities. This motel (resort??? haha) is an exception however. It is a COMPLETE DIVE. It started with my checkin a little past 9pm. The office was closed and I had to call the phone number on the door for almost 20 minutes before a young lady came and checked me in. When I pulled back the bedspread, there was no fitted sheet. Just a sheet covering a stained mattress. It was too late to get "housekeeping" so I waited to the next day. I called the front desk and they sent up a kid maybe 10 years old with some gobbed up sheets in his hand. Apparently I was supposed to make my own bed. I was there a total of 3 days and not ONCE did anybody clean my room or even make my bed... despite signs in the room that gave a schedule. No lamps in my room worked except one. I just had to plug it in. When i pulled out the nightstand I was amazed at the filth under it. My pillow had red stains on it and was just a bunch of lumps in a pillowcase. No microwave, no coffee pot. Nothing but a fridge and TV. At least the tv worked and had good channels. I ended up checking out early from this motel because of mystery bites to my legs, AC being intermittent and the complete lack of housekeeping. This place is designed for people that live in the motel, not overnight guests. Out of all the places I have stayed in the world, this one moved right up to the number one spot for crappiest places I have stayed. Straight up disgusting rooms and lack of any customer service. PLEASE don't waste your money and hope for a good experience like I did. It just flat out sucks. DON'T STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! You will regret it. HPj

My husband and I booked a room in palm bay and when we arrived the place was shut down. So priceline rebooked us a room at The Tropical Inn Resort. This is not a resort. The room we stayed in was clean and very nice, but we looked up the motel after getting our room and realized it was part motel and part rehab. The other residents were obviously in rehab. The breakfast they served was oatmeal cups. It's not someplace I would book on my own or stay by myself. We didn't have any bad experiences here, but it certainly isn't a resort.

This place is the nastiest place in Palm Bay plain and simple. My family and i stayed here for a brief stint while relocating to the area and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy! The kids (permanent residents) screamed and yelled all night long as they ran through the halls or pounding on the walls and air conditioning units. The residents there would let their animals urinate all over the place (halls included). The pool was constantly green and when i say green, i mean Kermit the Frog green. The internet was a joke! They are still using Wireless G access points, i used the internet from my phone because it worked better. The manager was uncooperative to say the least, he was never around or when he was, he was fighting with his girlfriend. Lets be honest, when you run a drug and rehab center out of your hotel, you won't have the best clientele and for $120 a night, you could stay at a way better place. You have been warned!

This was our fourth year staying at this motel. We stayed for 11 days. Booked a specific room 2 months in advance only to find out the night we arrived it had been rented. Had to drag luggage up flight of stairs. Next morning we were put in a similar room downstairs. No microwave, few towels, couldn't get tv to work, no phone to call office, floor was slippery in front of vanity. Got them to mop floor in front of vanity but that didn't result in the rest of the floor even being swept. Every, yes, every day had to contact office to get something done. Had a lot of difficulty getting towels (as did other guests) and one of the last ones we got looked like it had been run over in the parking lot. When we first stayed here 4 years ago they had a wonderful, full continental breakfast. Under new management we were offered a bagel (no cream cheese) or a box of oatmeal for the microwave. The rates increased 20% and the service went down dramatically. They offered us a free night but have lost our business in the future.

Clean, friendly, accomodating and affordable!!!! What more can you ask for in a hotel stay. The staff was very helpful and made my stay there more than pleasant. There appears to be a lot of improvements made to the hotel and I would recommend THE TROPICAL INN to anyone visiting the area.
