We stayed 3 nights mid-week,brought along our dog.Was expensive, as is everything in this area. We enjoyed the central location of the Inn-were able to walk everywhere. Our room had a nice view of the bay in the distance. The Inn is in need of renovations--paint peeling everywhere, broken blinds and moldy shower-curtain.Our room was never serviced--returned from sightseeing everyday to full trashbaskets... we were quite pleased with the St. George Inn. the location was convenient to everything and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. it's a beautiful building with very nice floors and carpets and the rooms are nice and large. the furnishings are nothing special and the bed was a bit soft for our tastes, but was certainly comfortable enough.... A beautiful old hotel right in the center of "town" which made everything walkable. It really does need updating and the mattress was just terrible - collapsing to the side as you got in. A mismash of furniture and a large filled dumpster just in back of the Inn which was a few feet away from where we could sit... More

The hotel is nice but the rooms do need to be upgraded. The first night we were in the Bayside Room but the mattress was horrible and made it impossible to sleep. The next day we were moved (with no additional charge) to the Coastal Room on the third floor. The room was excellent and our stay was very good.... More

We stayed at the the St George Inn 4 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend. It is in a great location near the lighthouse as you come on the island. The inn was built in 1986 and has 17 rooms. The Inn-Keeper (Melissa) is a wonderful person and did her best to satisfy our requests. She even changed our room for... More

This inn offers comfortable accomodations with everything you need close by, groceries, restaurants, bars and the beach are all within walking distance. If you want a quiet place to get away to the coast, this is for you. Our room was the Sandpiper which was clean & comfortable and we had a coffeepot in the room. The weather was great... More

The hotel located close to the Lighthouse in the center of St. George Island. It is a old building with a porch wrapped around. We stayed in the second floor. It is clean and tidy location. Everything a bit old fashioned but in a good condition. The rooms are cosy. The staff is friendly. The do not serve any meals... More

We stayed there over the Seafood Festival W/end...The only thing good about this Inn was that it was pet friendly.. The atmosphere was not cozy and warm at all...the only thing hot here was the room. I asked the inn keeper for some a/c and you would have thought I was a martian. And there was no coffee pot and... More

We didn't see any of the trees shown in the exterior photo. It also doesn't show the large building on the waterside blocking any view. Exterior paint is peeling. The room we were given had broken slats on the exterior door, a broken ceiling fixture, a stained and chipped toilet seat and a saggy mattress. When we reported these problems... More
