Close to Sarasota but that is the only good thing I'll say about this hotel. It stinks! Literally it smelled musty stagnant and old. I wish I would have paid an extra $20 to $30 to stay at a decent hotel. Continental breakfast was a joke. Not very satisfied for the price.

I can't say I wasn't warned, but I wish I had paid better attention to the poor reviews of this awful motel. It was the worst motel I have ever stayed at. There were bugs everywhere. Filfth, dirt, and vermin. It was sickening.

This HoJos is fine if you just need a place to sleep. The location is good, staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean if a bit battered around the edges. Unfortunately the breakfasts are Howard Johnson standard -- in other words, barely adequate. We didn't try the pool.
