My friends and I stayed at the Tides Inn in the middle of April. After looking at the previous reviews of the motel, just a few days before we were about to stay at the Tides, we were apprehensive. However, upon arriving at the Tides we found it be absolutely fine. It's your typical motel, somewhat outdated though. NO BUGS....

I do not usually write reviews but this one i must.. Stayed there for a weekend swim meet. Yes the motel is old! although our room was not that bad we had room 12, considering the price also it was close to the pool where we swam. Exactly 1 week after we got home my daughter broke out in a...

I would avoid this motel at all cost! My girlfriend her family and myself stayed here. It was a big mistake. The rooms are hit or miss for appliances, floors were filthy, bathrooms had leaking noisy facets, and the worst part about it we were attacked by bed bugs!!! I woke up one morning there and saw spots on the...

This is a old 50's style ranch motel. Privately owned by a family who works there (they are really nice). It is a cheap place to lay your head 1/3 the cost of any other lodging near the beach. We had room 2. I checked the mattress for bedbugs with no blood spots found on the ticking. No bugs were...

We stayed in room #9. It had a musty odor, but tolerable for the price. Went home the next day and discovered clustered, itchy bumps on our face, neck, arms, back, and legs. We realized we had bed bugs. It's been a week and a half and we are still extremely uncomfortable. AVOID THIS MOTEL.
Decent cost, close to the beach, and that is about the nicest thing you can say here until management cleans up their act. I spoke to the owner before coming and she assured me that the place was clean: "My mother and I clean the rooms ourselves". So I didn't think twice. The rooms were dirty with bugs all around....

We wanted to stay near Siesta Key, but found that the prices were really expensive. We ended up paying less than half the going rate staying at Tides Inn Motel. It was ~3/4 mile from the beach, and 3 miles from all of the bars and the main area of Siesta Key. We rode our bikes to the beaches and...

Well, I do have to say this was quite an experience to say the least. I can't even say we got what we paid for, because we didn't. We paid $75 for 3 extension cords and a dirty floor. The pool was very nice, but we didn't use it. Seems like a family oriented Motel, (The owners family). Needs quite...

My husband, his brother and sister-in-law and I stayed over this past week-end. The room we all shared, had very few electrical outlets (only 2 we found, and they were used by extention cords) and most everything including the air conditioner and television was plugged into with the extention cords. The room had a foul oder, and there was some...
