Lovely hotel. A bit old fashioned but that is part of the charm. Great location right on the beach. We had a balcony room overlooking the Gulf. The free car service to St Armands circle was a lovely touch and so convenient. We will definitely be going back.

Hotel had good location, good pool, friendly staff. However could do with a bit of updating but overall good value for money. Surprised that all the rooms have carpet.. One tip to the staff.. Please do not vacumn so much.. When by the pool could hear the hoovers going all day..

we stayed 3 nights there and had perfect view of sunset. The staff went out of their way to help us with our request.l The hotel room is a little outdated but it was very clean and felt right at home. We would go there again for a perfect room right on the beach.

This is an older property, but is being refurbished constantly. The rooms are clean, the staff is great. Everywhere we went on property we were greeted with a "hello" and a warm smile, as though they were proud to work there.Special kudos to "Paul" at the front desk, who seems to have only one goal in life: A perfect experience... This was our second trip to Sarasota and without hesitation we booked here. Ground floor room with patio which opened right onto the beach. Rooms seem to have been updated a little since we were last here but there is still room for improvement. The bathroom is very small but then how much time do you spend in a bathroom????... More

Though the hotel could use an update the room and grounds were very clean. The staff was very friendly. We found the food at the hotel was better than what was on the roundabout. We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel building itself it a bit older but the rooms were nice, clean and up to date (flat panel TV). Hotel has a bar outside near the pools which serves very good drinks (food was not so great). Hotel was nice, rooms clean yet old style, bathrooms small. Service was ok, we wanted to change a room, no problems and the bellman moved us. Lots of wildlife walking on the sidewalks :)
