My advice is to choose a room with a lake view. I tried to upgrade but they were booked. The rooms are very clean but sparse, not even a hair dryer, you have to request one from the office. It has the most beautiful view in Winter Haven if you're facing the lake. The owners are extremely nice and helpful.... More

We spent two nights here- we were visiting family so didn't spend much time in the hotel. The stairs and landings were dirty- the room seemed okay. The 'breakfast' was very skimpy. We had a coupon so it wasn't that expensive but have stayed at nicer places for the same price.

Front looks worn and needs painting. Second look at front shows you wonderful flowers, urns, etc. Back side faces the lake and is aboslutely wonderful. Hotel/Motel is ok. Nothing to fancy. I did however stay in a "regular' room. Not a room that was facing the lake. The rooms that are facing the lake are more pricier. The room that I had faced the parking lot and was not very big. The price for this room would have been great if the room was $40.
