My husband and I spent two days here, we found the staff warm and welcoming and the inn was absolutely gorgeous. Bed was comfy, room clean and inn was picture perfect. Great location, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

If you are taking the Antebellum Trail, this is THE place to stay. Room was very spacious, with fireplace, balcony and all the amenities you would expect in a fine hotel. Great getaway in historic Madison. Friendly & efficient staff at James Madison Inn. Rooms pristine with white down comforters and oh so comfy matresses. Spaceous bathrooms with nice ammenities. Highly recommended. Town has a lot to offer.
