We just returned from this location, and had a wonderful visit. We stayed under the American Girl package, which my 8 year old daughter loved. The package included a cookie decorating session with chef Beverly Kim (from Top Chef), use of an American Girl doll vanity and DVDs in the room, transportation to and from American Girl, breakfast at Aria... We stayed at the Fairmont Chicago because Chicago's Active Transportation Alliance had a group rate for Bike the Drive participants on May 26-27, 2012. Our room with a king-sized bed was beautifully appointed and had good views of Lake Michigan. There was a counter with coffee, ice bucket, etc. just outside the bathroom, which had separate shower stall and tub,... More

I stayed at this hotel on business May 2012. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms a little dated but overall its very good. I loved the bed as it was very comfortable. The staff was nice and considerate, as they should be. My only gripe is the lack of dining options in the hotel. They have only one restaurant, Aria... More

My husband and I spent two nights here a few weeks ago for a tradeshow. We were booked into a room with two doubles; when we asked about a room with a king bed, we were told the only thing available was a club-level room. The upgrade was "normally" $150/night, but they gave it to us for $40/night. This gave... More

I Managed to get a pretty good deal on this hotel and it was certainly a worthwhile investment. Location- couldn't be in closer proximity to all of Chicago's main attractions, walkable to: Magnificent mile, The Loop, Chicago Bean, Art institute, and an abundance of restaurants and bars (I'd recommend Sweetwater's for a good bar that serves quality American Fayre literally... There are lots of hotels to select from in Chicago, and we’ve been to lots of them but this was our first time at the Fairmont… and we found it exceptional. It’s about a block to Millennium Park and an easy walk to most downtown locations (including the movie theaters and even Navy Pier – admittedly the latter is somewhat... More

I stayed here for four nights for a professional meeting on their Club floor. It is very nice, trendy hotel with very good rooms, service and amenities. Valet/doorman, bellman, and reception services were prompt and consistently friendly. There is a nice lobby bar and an expensive bar and restaurant (Aria) in the hotel. The room (1511) was oddly shaped but... More

clean big room. nespresso cofee machine in the room. Ask to be a president club member. No charge for that and you get free internet, free enterance to the gym and free local phone calls. I will come again to this hotel.

Great hotel and great location. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Furnishings were updated and minimal, but nice. I was put in a handicap room (unknowingly), but it ended up being fine. Lobby was beautiful, nice finishes and very updated. Meeting space was a bit old, but still decent.

I stayed 3 nights at the Fairmont hotel on business. The location is excellent but the room and service are average. The hotel is expensive for what it offers and I will probably stay elsewhere during my next visit to Chicago. The worst part of my stay was a room full of large moths. I initially saw a dead moth...
