I stayed here for several days and found it extremely good in the location, friendliness of staff, breakfast choices, and prices for Chicago. It seemed to be full on the weekend, which included some very loud guests but got much quieter during the week. As it is a Bed & Breakfast I knew there could be a chance of thin... More

Stayed for four nights at the Villa Toscana and enjoyed the homey atmosphere and beautiful front garden/courtyard. Nice location in a safe neighborhood near the red line and Wrigley Field. We were in room two, which was upstairs: decent size, comfortable bed. There was a shared bathroom in the hall; had the place been sold out, we would have been... More

We were pleased with the Villa Toscana & would probably stay again. Stayed in the French Room, #5. It's a high basement level room (garden level I guess) with very little natural light which was the only surprise that was not clear when booking. Slight musty smell at the entrance to basement level but they have an air filter to... More

We recently enjoyed our stay in the Venetian room for a long vacay in the windy city. The room was nice. I loved that they had a power strip so we were able to charge our 2 phones, nook color, netbook and 2 cameras. Also they provided a luggage rack so we didn’t have to drop to our knees to... More

The room was very cold and the floors thin. The folks in the room above were very loud -- needs better carpeting. And some makeup went missing after room was cleaned.

The Villa Toscana is perfectly located for the happy walker -- not many more than 3 blocks from the Addison L station, and not more than 4 from Belmont. That will get you anywhere on a North/South Chicago axis! And it's in the heart of Boystown for those inclined that way. There are more restaurants in the immediate vicinity (Halsted... More

We had a wedding to attend in Boystown and this place was really close to the venue. We were thrilled with our stay. It's tucked back in from the street and the courtyard and front porch are picturesque. We stayed in The Venetian, which had a private bathroom. The room was a bit small but adequate. The bedding was of... More

Nice place with really friendly people. Wifi internet access is free and the room was clean and comfortable and I felt very much at home. Great location close to the subway red line and to lake Michigan. The bathroom was shared but it didn't present a problem during my stay.

Don't let the cost fool you. All Chicago hotel rates are high. Here you get more. If you like to walk, then this is the place. Both airports, all sightseeing, and downtown are connected by the train. You're in the center of the Halstead community of numerous gay friendly restaurants, stores, and bars. At night, Chicago can be dangerous. Never... More

My wife and I stayed here for several days during a recent trip to Chicago. The rooms were smaller than we anticipated, but it was a reasonable trade off for the location in the city. The B&B is a couple blocks from the nearest metro station, and there are several great bars and restaurants surrounding it. We also enjoyed having... More
