What a find. so easy to get to downtown chicago on the El/subway. The rooms were very clean and nice and sparse. had everything we needed and then some. Lots of snacks and liquors for purchase in the room. Interesting fun decor. We had dinner one night at the restaurant below and had heard the food was good. an understatment.... More

The place is very nice and clean. We love Logan Square so its a bonus to be able to stay there instead of in a downtown hotel / neighborhood. We stayed on a Wednesday and the noise from the bar was not too loud at all but you can hear it so if thats a concern it might be better... More

We had a fantastic evening at this casual whiskey bar in Logan Square. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but that's part of it's charm! Inside it's dark, warm and rustic with a lively atmosphere. We are beer drinkers and they have an extensive list of excellent beers on draft. After we ordered our beers we were very... More

First of all, this is well worth the trip out of the loop. This place is a gem, in the Logan Square neighborhood full of great restaurants. This place has a Michelin star, and you can't say that about many of the pricey restaurants in the loop. The food is truly gourmet and high-quality. The plates are thought-out to the... More

What a cool little place. Over 140 beers and 148 whiskeys! If you arrive after 5:30 expect a 30-45 minute wait. Very friendly attentive staff. We stayed with the "small plate" menu - and true to their advertising, they are very small plates (perhaps a touch too small). The food was excellent. Next time I'll try the large plates. I... More

I have been frequently referred to as "hipster" by many people in the past few years. Thanks. But maybe that's why my wife and I felt so at home here. We rented room 13 to celebrate our 1 year anniversary with the primary goal of eating at the restaurant below. The room was small, which we minimalists loved, and included... More

This was a great funky wee inn. Located a bit out of the city (but with low prices to match) but right next to the Logan Square Metro stop. We stayed here when visiting Chicago for a few days sightseeing from Scotland. The decoration was smartly done and original. They warn you that the rooms can be noisy as they're... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in August, and just loved it. I've been to Chicago many times and stayed in the typical downtown hotels. This is a great little funky place in Logan Square. It was so nice to be in a great neighborhood to explore vs. the middle of Michigan Ave. (Although you can get to Mich Ave... More

The Longman & Eagle is a unique restaurant and hotel with about six rooms. The restaurant is amazing and the rooms are very well considered and thoughtful. I would not recommend staying in the hotel unless you are young and planning to stay out past 2am every night. I say 2am because that is what time the restaurant closes. Until... More

We stayed at Longman & Eagle for only one night in room #07, which I think is one of the middle sized rooms. Things inside were perfect, I love the ability to open the windows, while our room overlooked the small beer garden. Staying in the room allowed us the ability to make a reservation at the great restaurant downstairs,... More
