Have used this property for past 4 years to get son back and forth from Montana to Millikin University in Decatur, IL. Hotel location is quiet and close to this college. Don't spend much time in hotel so locaton and property works well. Rooms fine and staff accommodating. Updates/enhancements are being made to property. Name is being changed.

I stayed here when my reservation at another motel was messed up, and I was offered a smoking room after reserving a non-smoking room. All rooms in Decatur and Mt Zion were booked, and this was the only nearby hotel with available rooms. It is owned by the Patels, and was definitely no frills (e.g., no vanity in the bathroom,... Upon checking in the smoke in the lobby was so bad I almost left, but had prepaid and had a granddaughter's graduation to attend. This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in, it is dirty, smelly, and scarey. I didn't feel safe and would never ever stay there again. The price was right, but obviously you get what... More

...it would smell like the lobby of this Days Inn. On top of that, we had a large group checking in and some confusion with exact names and some members of our group were not allowed to check in and we had to pay for their rooms anyway. The desk clerk referenced "airline security" as if checking into a hotel... More

I stayed with my daughter this last weekend for her visit to Millikin. I actually thought the hotel was scary and my daughter's comment was "Mom do you think the car will be there in the morning?" The property was old with threadbare carpet and I think furnishings were older than my daughter. Although the clerk was nice, he was... More

We had two rooms, each with one queen bed. The rooms were clean, staff worked hard to ensure we got into non-smoking rooms. Minutes after check-in I noticed our toilet was not working. Within 5 minutes of telling the front desk it was fixed. Free continental breakfast of donuts, rolls, coffee and juice. Hotel staff even went out for more... More
