led on a girls getaway to Galena and stumbled on this little gem...we stayed in the Heirloom suite which is PERFECT for this type of getaway...it was originally 3 rooms in the house and now is a main room with big antique bed, rockers and small tv in one room...adjoined with a smaller room with a twin bed & dresser... The innkeepers were very accessible and always polite. We stayed in the Mayor's Suite and had plenty of room. The bed was extra comfy and the shower nice and large. Where to begin... The fireplace isn't real, at least in the Heirloom Suite, but the "crackle and the sparkle" are just two electronic switches away. The "delicious" breakfast was more like a Second World War ration, consisting of only one piece of each item, that is, one sausage and one piece of french toast, but don't fret your watchful hosts... Lyn and Mike are very gracious hosts. The chocolate chip cookies where to die for! Comfortable beds and a cozy fireplace made our stay wonderful. Breakfast was outstanding and we will be back soon. And will tell all our friends about this place.
