This was our second trip to Hawk Valley. We stayed in the Pines with our two daughters. We loved it. Wendy and Hal are awesome hosts (not to mention great cooks!). It is so restful and peaceful at Hawk Valley and only 2.5 hours from home. Can't wait to go back again.

Hawk Valleg Retreat is the best place I could think of to stay near galena. This place is just the absolute chill. The proprietors are laid back and down to Earth, and everything is what a B&B should be. If you're looking for some lax, go to the hawk valley retreat.

The grounds at this B&B are beautful. The fall colors made for a gorgeous backdrop. So glad we chose to stay in the country away from the hustle & bustle of the town. Great B & B off the beaten path. Fabulous location. Quiet. Romantic. Full of nature. New host & hostess in April 2011 are doing a SUPERB job! Breakfasts could not have been more delicious. Homemade granola was off the charts! We loved it, recommend it and will definitely be back!

Hal and Wendy are the new owners and they are doing a fantastic job. Don't miss the breakfast - it was awesome and very generous helpings. The Quiche could have been featured in a gourmet magazine. It's a quiet and relaxing secluded area. Highly recommend for a nice romantic getaway.
