My best friend and I have stayed in 4 Super 8 Motels this month. The Mount Vernon, IL location was the best. The desk help was friendly, the room was clean and fresh and the free breakfast was full of variety.

The hotel was clean and very affordable. But the best part was the friendliness of the staff. I needed special accomodations. I chose one handicap room but I couldn't get my scooter around. Cynthia (at the office) was so pleasant, letting us switch to another handicap room that was better suited to my needs.

Hotel is nothing to brag about. Usual expectations. Rooms are adequate. The continental breakfast was minimal. We have stayed in better Super 8 Motels in our travels. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location was right off of Interstate 57 with easy access. Good for overnight stay but not a destination facility.

Our room was on the lower level, and a humidifier occupied the hallway. That’s actually good, as I’m glad they’re being proactive on the humidity on that level.
