This seems like a nice hotel but be warned about their cancellation policy. We were planning a trip for this summer but had to cancel the reservation due to some conflicts. We were reserving the entire hotel for the majority of a week and put down a $2000+ deposit. I canceled the reservation a full five months before the check...

In 1871, John Engler had the building constructed for use as a hotel, complete with food, lodging, and a feed stable for the horses. The curved window design was taken from the old Nauvoo Temple bell tower and thus the building was always called "The Temple House." The hotel recently closed its doors for a major renovation.
