We liked the friendly staff and the extended breakfast with cut fresh fruit, waffles, eggs, and sausage. Our Queen studio suite though was uncomfortable with a too soft bed, tv positioned so you had to twist to watch, and no towel bar in the shower area. Good location but we’d choose somewhere else next time.

This is a really great place to stay. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The rooms are really clean and cozy. Me and my wife stayed here on a business trip and it was are 4 year wedding anniversary. We stayed here for the week, my wife needed to do laundry and the service is free. In the past we when we stayed elsewhere we had the find a laundromat. When we come back we will be staying here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is nice, but what really made the stay was the staff. It is the most friendly and welcoming staff that I have ever seen at a hotel. Every single person on the staff would greet you with a smile and ask how you were doing. It is totally a family atmosphere that made our stay in the area memorable.

Ick all over fridge and light switches, not enough towels, no towel for in front of tub (unsafe), door unattached from bathroom area just waiting to fall on someone (unsafe), item left in fridge when we came (so wasn't cleaned), NO clean towels available from front desk, digital check-in means nothing because you have to wait in line and fill out everything a second time so online check-in is pointless, no beer and wine at social like states on website, no one was at check in for several minutes and no bell to ring, front desk will not bring you items if they actually had any clean items anyways. Several nasty areas on chair that I can tell could be washed off easily if anyone cared to clean. Called IHG directly tonight in hopes they will clean the room and remove the propped up unattached door because we are stuck here another night. Super duper cute room though, great set up.

Don’t be a fool by looking at pictures and reviews. This location is Motel 6 behind Staybridge’s name. It’s both smoking and non smoking building includes narcotic smoking. Dirty and stains on the furniture and unclean toilet seat. No hot running water in shower. Filthy under bed. Not worth your money. Find somewhere better.

The staff was unprepared to deal with the ants in my room. I told them twice about seeing ants and they did nothing. I was told they didn't have any bug spray. Finally when the ants were crawling all around the window, on the desk, and yes on my arm i decided to leave. The ice maker in my refrigerator was not working when I checked in. The front desk staff offered me a ice tray with crushed ice. No one came to fix the ice maker until I mentioned it for a 3rd time. The faucet in the 'kitchen' was wobbly. That was finally repaired after my 7th day there. The repair person told me on that 7th day he needed to order a part for the ice maker. The hotel is under renovations as stated but the hotel could try to keep the floors, etc cleaner.

I had the WORST experience at Staybridge Suites today (3/17/23) via Ray Lakes. Prior to arrival, my friends and I booked two (1 queen, 2 double bedroom) suites. We received a call saying that due to renovation, those rooms were not available. Instead, they offered us 2 king suites. When we arrived, it took 20min to check us in because they couldn't find the reservation. When we got to the rooms, 1 of the rooms was a regular queen room and the other was a king suite. The king suite was dirty. It had not been cleaned from whomever was there before. There was a big garbage bag full of trash in the room and the bed was unmade. When we went downstairs to tell the front desk, Ray Lakes told us that the housekeeper told him that the room was clean and that no other worker would have approved or agreed to give us 2 king suites because they aren't on the same floor. When we shared that that was the information we received when Staybridge called us back, he preceeded to try and convince us that the reservation on file was the one we made initially. We told him that the person must have entered it in incorrectly and that we had no reason to lie. From there, we were talking to each other about our experience when Ray asked my friend to stop talking about it because there were 2 other guests next to us and he didn't want their experience to be ruined. From there, my friend explained that we were having a private conversation about our experience and how his expectation was unreasonable. We eventually asked his name and when my friend wrote his name down, he told us that we should find another place to go for our sake, such as Holiday Inn and Residence Inn because he could see a domino effect happening. Another manager, Scott, was so kind and apologized for our experience. When I was sharing with him our experience, Ray Lakes told him to go do something else. I have NEVER seen this happen EVER. Ray Lakes was so rude and disrespectful!

Staybridge Suites in Oakbrook, Illinois has the Worst Service Ever! I am in shock and cannot believe what we just experienced at Staybridge Suites. First, we made a reservation for a One Queen, 2 Double, 2 Bedroom Suite. This appeared to be the largest room on the website. We received a call telling us that due to renovations, the room we requested was no no longer available. We were offered 2 king suites as a replacement. We accepted and moved forward with our plans. We made it to the hotel and stood at the desk waiting for the staff to figure out our rooms. After the longest wait we ever had, we finally got to our room, only to find that one of our rooms was not cleaned and the other one was not what we were told. The bed was unmade and trash was in one room on the tables. I went to let the front desk staff know what had happened. Ray Lakes, the general manager (unbelievable!) told us that what we told him we were promised was untrue because that's not a common practice. I told him that we had no reason to lie. He said, they were going to do something for us. Ray spoke with the housekeeper to get the room clean. I was speaking with my friend about the situation. This was quiet conversation and no guests heard us. Ray, who was standing right in front of us, stated that he was trying to do something and we should stop talking about it. I stated that I was speaking with my friend and we were chatting amongst ourselves. Ray said he didn't want us to ruin it for his other guests! This was shocking and I have never heard anyone tell a guest to be quiet so other customers don't hear about their concerns. The other guests did not hear us at all! While we were waiting, my friend asked Ray for his name. When he said his name, I wrote it down. Ray became irritated that I wrote his name down! He then told us that he would rather we leave the hotel! We stood there in shock because this has never happened before! He said he felt like a "domino effect" was going to happen and calls would be made to the company because I wrote his name down. I told him that was not a reason to put us out of the hotel. Ray Lake said, "I'm going to cancel your reservation for your own sake." I was further confused and shocked! We went to get our things and came back to the front desk. I said, "I have never been put out of a hotel. I run a business and work with clients every day and would never treat anyone like this." Ray stated that he was not putting us out because we were getting a refund. He said if we were put out, there wouldn't be a refund. I told Ray this is the worst customer service I have ever seen and there was no reason for it. I told him the hotel should be ashamed. He said, "I won't be insulted by you." I was more confused. He took offense to everything I said. I told him I was going to record because I could not believe this. He said that was further reason for me to leave his hotel. I asked Ray for the number to complete a customer service complaint. He said, "You can have my card and the number to this hotel." I told him I did not want the number to the hotel and needed the number to the office above him. He told me to look it up! He told us to go stay at the Holiday Inn up the street!! He said he was going to make a call as well. My friend started a conversation with the sales manager who was standing at the front desk. He told us his name (Scott). We asked Scott if this happens often and told him the issue. Ray walked over to Scott and told him to go do something else! Ray printed the receipt, passed it to another person to give to me, and walked away. He never apologized. As we walked out the door, Scott apologized for our experience and told us he hoped it would be better someone where else. Ray looked away as though we were not there. I cannot believe Ray is a GM! We left Staybridge Suites in Oakbrook, Illinois and went to the Marriott which is also in Oakbrook. The check-in process was smooth, the staff was kind, and the rooms were clean. Thank you, Marriott! You never disappoint! I tried something new, and I will never do that again!

In a word...TERRIBLE. No elevator worked and so my wife and other elderly wives were separated from us husbands because wives couldn't climb 3 flights of stairs. I carried luggage up 3 flights. Except for one employee, the staff was rude to condescending, and out right dismissive to our minor request for service. Though our group booked almost the entire hotel, and we are all none pork eaters, the breakfast quite often had only pork sausage for breakfast. When I asked about a discount, I was immediately laugh at. I travel with our group at least 2 times per year and our stay at this hotel was the worse experience in my past 4 years of travelling One, 20 something looking, receptionist even had the audacity to order us to bed when we gathered in the lounge. I give this hotel a negative five star rating.

If I could I would give zero stars!!! The courtesy of the manager attitude is TRASH, especially since the elevator was out of service! Not one time did the folks at the front desk offer to help. Instead they said I would have to carry them up the stairs by myself! Also it smelled of DOGSS in here so they must not have cleaned the carpets. Overall this place is trash I do not recommend booking with this establishment!
