An amazingly unique experience! Fab views, comfy beds and linen inside the tent, the best shower I have ever had in a camp ground - very clean! The attention to detail was 5 star, everything had been so carefully and lovingly thought of to make our stay one we shall never forget. Thank you to the friendly smiling staff for... More

Arrived just after five, to find the entire Island all shut up. The security guard handed us a map of where our tent was, and that was that. The website had said "All you have to bring are your sleeping bags, pillows and a torch." for pre-erected camping. I therefore left all our camping catering equipment behind, envisaging a hostel... We camped on Cockatoo Island over Easter. We were in a group of 16 with 8 adults and 8 kids. The kids loved the trip by ferry. The campground is clean but no shade. Exploring the Island was fun with the kids and there was loads of space for them to run around. We had packed half a house for... More

Arrived by ferry after a short trip from Circular Quay to a quiet chilled-out place. Friendly directions to our tent, with what turned out to be very comfortable camp beds with good quality linen. We were impressed with the quality of the BBQ, shower and toilet blocks but did wonder how they would do when the campsite was full -... More

My mum came over to visit and we thought we would camp here. Best idea as its not far from the city and not to rough out Weather was great and not too much wind which we were expecting And I will sure be coming back with my boyfriend on my next visit to Sydney!

We camped for 3 nights on Cockatoo Island and loved it. we used our own tent and were lucky enough to stay when it was very quiet so we only shared the camping area and kitchen with one other family. It's a unique and quirky campsite with a fantastic history and well worth at least half a day to wander... More

I came here with my friend and 4 kids. We had a 2 man " glamping package" and they had a double tent glamping package. Our tent cost about $150 for the night. It consisted of 2 mats bedding towels a lantern and 2 outdoor chairs. The kids loved arriving by ferry and exploring the island. They even went for... More

We stayed here for Sat night on the last weekend of the Biennale (early Sept). Was great to get to see some of the exhibits before the daytrippers from the mainland arrived. When the daytrippers left the campers pretty much had the island to themselves. There's plenty of space to kick a ball, play frisbee and for kids to ride... More

Just spent the weekend at cockatoo island in sydney harbour. Hired a tent and had a great time exploring the island's historic industrial past. The tents and sleeping mats are clean as are the facillities (hot showers, toilets, BBQs). The greatest disapointment of the stay was the island cafe. This would have to be the worst run cafe in the... More

Glamping never felt so good. Quick ferry from circular quay, to find the tent already up, beds made with good linen/doona, and great sun bed recliners. How good is this! The BEST amenities block ever. Brand new, teak timber finish, porcelain Belfast sinks, clean, with steaming hot water. All on an island overflowing with convict history, sandstone, and interesting industrial... More
