Klopfenstein Inn is a locally owned and operated Hotel. Not your standard chain, and/or franchises. There is no online check-in or kiosk available for quick access, as would otherwise be offered to frequent guests and professional business entities. I stayed overnight because I had power outage, Room was clean, shower clean, had a microwave hairdryer nice tv, outdoor pool, super staff and very cheap rates. the continental breakfast was ok, but plenty of it. I would stay again. Wolf matresses and fluffy pillows. Air was cold, room was quiet.

We stayed here during Christmas and were very surprised. We got a great deal through Priceline and laughed at the name. Family who visited were even impressed. I didn't like the hotel. Went for a basketball tournoment and the rooms were terrible. It needed cleaning and had stains on the floor. I will never go again.

Friendly, competent staff made visit memorable. Facilities generally in good condition. Good continental breakfast with fresh baked cinnamon rolls. Free cookies, milk, and coffee in evening. Not a luxury hotel, but great value and pleasant experience.

This hotel needs some updating in all rooms. for the most part it is clean but some rooms need repairs and updating.
