We had stayed at the Brown County Inn 7 or 8 years ago and it was exactly the same as it was then. This property looks the same as it probably did when it opened for business. The food in the restaurant was very good though and the grounds did offer shuffleboard, horseshoes and 9 holes of putt putt golf plus a nice... If you plan to go to Brown County and you have allergies to mold and dirt avoid this Inn. Thank goodness for Lysol or I would have left right after registering. The carpet did not look like it had seen a vacum in a very long time and the dirt in the corners was an inch thick. I have been... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Brown County Inn. The last time I stayed there was in 1994. The problem was they have not update the decor in 20 years! The room was dark and dingy with the wood paneling. The tan wallpaper with a flower border across the top was so dated! On the plus-side the food... More

Rustic and cozy with great food. Inside and outside, the decor is of antiques and wood. The food is great. The rooms are just average, but you won't want to stay in the room with such a great dining room and lounge, and the landscaped exterior invites you to sit outside and enjoy the flowers and birds.

My wife and I recently booked a two night stay at Brown County Inn. We will not go back. We asked for a non-smoking room and it was obvious the room had been smoked in. Our neighbors were in a non-smoking room also but that didn't keep their cigarette smoke from billowing under the door that connected out two rooms.... More

Anyone who has read anything of my other reviews knows my delema, Hilton Suites tastes, McDonalds budget. Having established that, the place is very rustic, lots of wood paneling, lights from antler horns type of feel. The place really needs an update, though I fear a property sale would be required (I kind of got the impression the last update... More

My first memories are of The Brown County Inn, so maybe I'm biased, but this place is the only place to stay in Nashville in my opinion. Beautiful grounds, nice indoor/outdoor pool, (doors pull up so it's kind of a combo pool) great bar, great restaurant, and has a very colorful history. Love to support this place. The "Game Room"... This is my 3rd Thanksgiving at Brown County Inn. We enjoy the area shopping and despite being busy you feel off the beaten path. The hotel has not changed much in over 20years. However some would disagree, I think this is part of the charm. Same rooms and same staff make this feel like home.

My two sisters and I stayed at the Brown Co. Inn for our anual weekend getaway. The front desk staff, the maintenance person and the cleaning crew were friendly and prompt. Our room was comfortable and we had a wonderful view of the woods off our porch. The porch door was stuck shut and after we called the front desk,... More

The hotel was awsome and the staff was awsome but we went to dinner at the Harvest one night and the Waitress was very rude! They need to really watch who they have working for them because you can't get business when you have rude waitresses!
