I read the reviews prior to booking this location but the price was better than most other places and I gave it a chance. First off, if the price is right, I would stay again. But...
The lobby is nice and I enjoyed hearing the grandfather clock there. Check in was easy and the lady that checked me in was...

Very elegant and comfortable lobby....Hampton Inns are generally very reliable in my experience. I especially appreciate the fact that the duvet covers are changed for every guest as bedspreads at other properties make me uncomfortable from a cleanliness standpoint. I also appreciate the pillows....always at least three on the bed and very comfy. Standard complimentary breakfast was good. They were...

Hotel is decent enough, looks well kept, I see no mold issues and I don't smell anything funny like the other reviews. However, the hot tub is filthy, the water is so cloudy you cannot see the bottom of it, even though it is a white and there is a light in it. After both my children came into contact...

We have come to see Hampton Inns as our favorite hotel chain because of the comfortable beds and pillows, flat screen high def tv's and good breakfasts. This one was not quite as good as most of the others we have been in. Our first concern was a very strong smell of cleaning solution as soon as we entered our...

Friendly staff, surprisingly elegant lobby and dining area with expanded continental breakfast. Nicely appointed room. Truly pet friendly. Clean and well maintained. We definitely would stay there again.
We decided to do a weekend trip to Louisville and I was able to secure a king room here at a bargain points rate. The surroundings are roughly what you'd expect for an isolated interstate town: gas stations and chain restaurants. If you go into Scottsburg's downtown area, there are a few other options for food, but it's still pretty...

Well appointed common area, overall tidy. Many are worn around the edges, this one looked pretty good.
However the valve in my shower needed to be cranked all the way open to get even some hot water, and there was soap scum turning black other underside of the soap tray (noticed while bathing).
Weirdest part: the local inbred cops come...

I have stayed at the Hampton in Scottsburg, In twice now. My visit has been wonderful. All the employees are very nice. I especially want to comment on Sheila. She is a wonderful person and an asset to this hotel. She is friendly and that is what I look for. I really enjoyed our nightly conversations. When a person is...

The lobby was beautiful but the room was below average for a Hampton. The indoor pool area was very nice. My husband and I asked for two room keys and were told it was against the manager''s policy. They did give me the second key but I thought that policy was ridiculous. It was Christmas day and although the staff...
