CLOSED for Major Renovation: October 22, 2012 – early August, 2013. I’ll stick to things that are not likely to change. From the moment we arrived I did not see a frown. The gate guard at Notre Dame was cheerful and gave perfect directions. The gate guard at Morris Inn parking lot was cheerful and gave perfect directions. Bellman was... More

The Morris Inn is Notre Dame's legendary on-campus hotel. Over the years I've stayed here many times. This stay was another great experience. A major expansion and renovation are just around the corner. The room was no-nonsense but impeccably clean. They're small and dated--characteristic of an earlier era. Nevertheless, there are plenty of cable channels and wi-fi is concluded. Sorin's... More

I had a chance to stay here in May for a two night business trip to Notre Dame. The hotel isn't fancy but the rooms were wonderful and charming. The hotel looks modern on the outside and old on the inside. The staff was very, very friendly and the facility was very clean. They had the A/C off for maintenance... More

A stay at the Morris Inn, the only hotel on the Notre Dame campus, is a lot like a campus visit itself. It is heavy on tradition, has both beautiful but no-nonsense touches and amenities, feels a bit dated and yet comfortable. It is about to be closed (after the football season) and it will undergo a huge renovation, expansion... More

This review is about the Morris Inn Dining room for lunch. It is an attractive traditional hotel dining room, which is very nice along with good service. The menu had a lot to choose from and the salads and fish chosen were excellent. I have to say, coming from New York and Tucson, that the prices were a bit...low. They... More

Yes, the rooms are small. They remind me of the size of a guest bedroom when you visit your cousin back home. The bathrooms seemed a bit dated too. However, all in all it was clean, decorated nicely, and had a nice separate dressing/vanity area. The staff was really friendly, too. We brought our children here for a graduation. Because... More

An elegant but unpretentious place on the Notre Dame campus, with charming decor, a very good restaurant, and an exceptional staff. One of my favorite places I've ever stayed.

I recently spent three wonderful nights at The Morris Inn over Easter weekend. This was my first visit to The Morris Inn. I expected the hotel to be stodgy, stuffy and dated, as I know it will be closing later this year for major renovations. Instead I found a very warm, hospitable and comfortable establishment I look forward to visiting... More

I stayed at the Morris Inn recently for a b-school interview. Location is the obvious draw here, as it is the only hotel located on Notre Dame’s campus, a 2 minute walk from the football stadium. This could be a one-star hotel and people would still be lining up to pay $500 per night on a football weekend. Luckily, the... More

We were given an overnight stay as a Christmas gift, otherwise, we may not have stayed here as it's fairly expensive, with no known discounts. This is an older hotel, situated right on the campus of Notre Dame, near the Hammes Bookstore. Although there was a hockey game, a women's basketball game and a mens basketball game all going on...
