This was simply the best place I found with value for several nights stay. If your AAA member then look no further. Stay here and enjoy the wonderful real breakfast. Great hotel and had better nights stay here then in Chicago at a 4star on Magnificient Mile.

Your typical Courtyard Marriott but with a great staff. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were average but clean. The hotel was quiet, (get a room on the backside facing the woods). The only drawback there was no free breakfast. There was a restaurant for breakfast but it was $6.95/person and did not look that appetizing. There are... More

The staff at the Courtyard Valparaiso was by far the friendliest that I have come across in quite some time. From check-in to check-out and in between. Two different housekeepers warmly greeted me in the morning as I passed by in the hallway on my way out. I would especially like to recognize Betty who was working the front desk... More

Cons: Only Pet Friendly hotel in Valpo, they take advantage of this by charging a $75 Non-refundable pet fee. Facility is dated, rooms are motel 6 quality, which is fitting because its right accross the street from Walmart. Walls are paper thin, expect to be disturbed by this. Not your typical Marriott Courtyard.

I have stayed at many Marriot brand hotels and this one did not disappoint. Nice rooms, remodeled in recent years. Very comfortable bed. Great location close to restaurants and shopping. The bathroom could use remodeling but was clean and well supplied. This hotel does not have an elevator so if you have a second floor room be prepared to use... More

First the good: VERY nice employees at front desk and breakfast area. Nice and helpful. The Rest: The walls, at least in my room, which was designed to adjoin to another room (has a door to next room) are VERY VERY thin. The alarm clock in the next room actually startled me awake. The TV in the next room is... More

The staff is very professional and every attempt is made to keep the facility clean. BUT the rooms are dated and could use upgrading. For example, the tile in the bathroom shower is plastic squares with thin groutlines that are moldy (impossible to clean). Little amenities (like hairdryer in the room) are lacking. If you use a "rate" like AAA,... More

The Courtyard Valpo met all our expectations. Service at the front desk was very friendly/helpful. Our double room on the first floor was clean, quiet and comfortable, although it could use updating. There's good coffee in the lobby all day, although twice we found it had run out in the morning. We did not have the breakfast, because as other... More

I waited almost a month to write this review to be sure my impressions weren't being jaded by the deluxe hotel we had just come from the previous nights. Unfortunately, my and my family's feelings are still the same. The hotel resembles an old Days Inn or Howard Johnson's on the exterior. There was a crew there that appeared to... More

Stayed at the Courtyard Valpo for a family reunion and while it's an older property, the staff was very helpful and bent over backwards to accomodate us. They let us hang out in their breakfast area in the evenings to play cards & visit - very relaxed. Rooms weren't incredible but they were very clean, comfortable and roomy.Beds were a... More
