Some of my daughters youth sports team and parents booked 6 rooms so we would be closer to an early morning tournament the next day. I wasn't really sure what to expect from a hotel in Fayette, Iowa. I was impressed. They had a surprisingly nice entrance and foyer which had a "great outdoors" type of feel to it. It... More

Two minor criticisms; 1) no entrance sign. You must enter through a gas station property. We tried distant roads in attempt to enter as did other members of our family staying there. There must be a better way to mark entrance. 2) No elevator. Though they have rooms on the first floor we needed a suite which was on the... More

Stayed one night with my family at the Americinn in Fayette. Staff was very pleasant upon check-in (offered our two kids fresh baked cookies) so they LOVED the place. Pool area was large, clean, and well laid out. Room was clean, larger than expected, and came with some unexpected upgrades like mini fridge, microwave, flat screen tv. Main lobby was... More

Motel is fine.... The only entrance/ exit is down a steep hill. It began snowing the afternoon we arrived... The next forenoon they hadn't plowed or sanded.. The only people getting out had 4- wheel drive......we were stranded. Lady at the desk said " it wasn't their policy to sand or plow the entrance" .

I've stayed at this motel several times, I noticed they have a good rapport with some of their guests and really get to know them, makes it feel like home. the motel was clean, comfortable with a friendly staff, the breakfast has lots of warm items, it's a win-win!

We spent 2 nights at the AmericInn, Fayette, and were surprised how much we enjoyed the hotel. Our rooms were very comfortable and we also made good use of the common areas - we played games and watched Saturday afternoon College football in the breakfast area. There is also an inviting pool (sadly, didn't bring my bathers) and a big... More

The AmericInn of Fayette reminds me completely of the AmericInn in Ladysmith, WI. They are so similar in layout and amenities I could swap one for the other. AmericInns are homey, nice places to stay. The public rooms are warm and inviting, the people are very knowledgeable about the area and very friendly, and the sleeping rooms are basic. The... More
