I would rate this stay "okay". There is not enough parking spaces, no breakfast or any amenities, and the whole place is dark, dirty, and smelled awful. location on west side of town with walmart and shopping in area. employees very helpful and friendly. rooms clean and good breakfast area with adequate selection. priced reasonable for this area. will be back.

Booked 8 rooms for a 2-day hiking trip to the Elk River State Park which is only about an 8 minute drive. Staff was friendly, check-in was quick. Rooms were clean and updated and comfortable. Would like to have in-room coffee makers, but coffee was provided with breakfast (bring your own protein.) Would definitely return.

Very pleased with this Microtel. We upgraded this time and booked a suite. What a difference a few dollars makes over the standard room. We had twice the space and a little kitchenette area. The hotel was quiet. We were here for 2 days.

We were in town for a family reunion. Not a lot of choices of places to stay in Independence but this was nice. The rate was a bit high for the area but the room was comfortable, clean and the staff was very pleasant. Would be nice if there were a fitness center. We would stay here again.
