The cabin was a bit basic but that is of course really not the point of staying here. The nightly wall of sound from the swamp, and Betty's stories and insights, make the place truly unique. Bring mosquito spray, though :-)

My kids had such a great time at wildlife gardens. The cabin was great and it had every thing that we needed. Mrs. Betty cooked us a great breakfast and helped us with navigate around town. Thank you mrs. Betty!

The owners couldn't be more friendly, and the area is definitely NOT New Orleans. This is true Cajun country - on the bayou! You'll see alligators and hear the symphony of the swamp as you sit on your screened-in porch in the evening. A great getaway to experience a real place.
