Nice location, plenty of parking, very nice garden, they BBQ as well, good choice of real ales, bar is dog friendly, as are the rooms, staff very welcoming, we had a superb Rib Eye steak meal, all cooked fresh, very good chef, accomodating to our needs as we are not chip eaters, recommend the bubble and squeak, the dining area... Like a previous reviewer we've been walking the Thames Path in stages, and stayed at the Baskerville after a long and hot day's walk from Marlow. We were made very welcome by everyone we met. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast was superb - the smoked salmon and scrambled egg... More

We've been doing regular walks along the Thames path, and on one of our recent walks (Reading-Shiplake), we popped into the Baskerville pub, for a Sunday roast. We wood quality food, were seduced by the atmosphere, friendliness of the staff and good quality of the food, so when we found out they were also a B&B, decided to return a... More

We stayed at the Baskerville for one night, the manager Kevin was a warm and welcoming guy who was very attentive. Equally his staff were friendly and happy to help with nothing too much trouble..We stayed in the ship lake room which was very comfortable and cheerful.. It had all the amenities you need for an overnight stay.. The room... More

Upon arrival we were pleasantly welcomed and shown to our room by one of the members of staff. He went above board to make sure we had everything we wanted in our room. Once we were settled we went down and had a great meal, followed by a few drinks at the bar. Again the staff in the restaurant were... More

we used the Baskerville as our last night stopover before heading to the airport. In retrospect, it was a little too far away for a stress-free transatlantic flight day. In good conditions, it should take about 45 minutes, but it wouldn't take much of a problem in rush hour to take this to 90 minutes or more. The rooms are... More

We recently stayed at the Baskerville while walking the Thames Path. The staff, the care they showed us, our rooms, the food and the ambience were far superior to many 4 star hotels we've stayed in. We can't praise them too highly and are very much looking forward to a return visit. Don't hesitate if you're thinking of staying here.

We stayed on the night of my birthday as a treat. My other half who booked the hotel was very disappointed with the quality of the accommodation for the price. The hotel is really a pub with rooms and although it's clean and the staff are friendly there are far better places in the area for a similar price.

Had lunch there this week as it was open for food all day and we wanted to eat at 3pm. Nice starters of black pudding, egg and leaves and squid and leaves. A little over priced at $7.50 each. My main course of fish and chips was dissappointing as I only ordered it because on the menu it said "chunky... More

Only stayed the one night but I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Had a lovely welcome and I really liked the pub atmosphere. We didn't try the food(only the breakfast which was good) as we had eaten somewhere on the way. Comfortable and very spacious room and a big plus is the fact that dogs are accepted in some... More
