My wife and I stayed for one night. The room was very comfortable and the landlord and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Our evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast and all in all really good value. Would stay again and recommend the George. Lovely location.

Stayed last night and we had a lovely stay. The landlady is really nice and friendly as is her hubby the chef and they both and made us feel very welcome. Room was large, newly decorated, well-equipped and clean. Breakfast was a real treat - freshly cooked to order and served with a smile. All in all a great place... More

Had lunch here twice recently and found it to be excellent. Food quality good, service excellent and cheerful staff behind bar. Prices are sensible too. Ashley is a very quiet village so dont expect any exciting night life if you decide to stay at the George
