Girls vacation of all the New England states, brought us to the Chalet, yes the place is dated, but we had a fridge, and free coffee at the office in the morning. The best part was canoes and paddle boats we could take out on the lake, which was fun. The area is beautiful, and we did take a drive... More

This review is long overdue. This is a beautiful location and the stay was overall a good one back in August 2008 but the man who tended the check-in counter had a very ugly demeanor. Be forewarned about him. Not only was he unfriendly when we checked in but once we got up to the room we had difficulty with... More

Pros: 1) There are not too many family- budget style motels in Greenville and this one of the closest ones to Greenville/Moosehead Lake under $120/night (summer). 2) Motel is on the water. 3) Older 1950s/60s style place but local owners take care of the guests. 4) Paddle boats and canoes were great but the time limit of half-hour gave you... Thank you for your review. The canoes and paddleboats have an hour limit. This is just a general rule of thumb to keep people from going too far without taking into consideration that they also have to paddle back! We do have a variety of rooms with varying amenities. They are priced accordingly. When making a reservation we are happy... More

Not upscale, but a fine value for the price. My husband, his dad, and I stayed here on a three-day swing through the Northwoods. The location on the southern shore of Moosehead Lake was perfect, and all rooms have picture windows onto the lake. The room was walk-barefoot clean, the suite offered privacy for all of us, and the owners... More

We stayed in room #5. Nothing fancy. Seems more like a fishing camp type motel than anything else - serves its purpose. A not-so-comfortable shower with thin, small towels, no amenities. But the view was beautiful. We bought steaks and cooked them one evening after sitting lakeside with a cooler of beer and a bottle of wine. Those relaxing evenings... More

We stayed in a 'deluxe' motel room. There is nothing deluxe about the rooms. I have literally never seen toilet paper so thin. It was ridiculous. The bath towels were tiny, thin and old. The 'jacuzzi' is a small, standard tub with what looks to be a few jets drilled in the sides. It was too small and cramped to... More

The motel sits on the bay overlooking Moosehead Lake. We were there just before the International Sea Plane Fly In. Since my husband is a pilot, he enjoyed watching the seaplanes fly in. We were on the second floor and had a balcony with a nice view. The room was a little small, but it was a motel room, so... More

This motel on the lake is in a lovely location just outside of downtown Greenville. The rooms are very basic motel rooms - clean but no frills. The "deluxe" room has two queen beds, a jacuzzi tub, refrigerator, microwave and a deck overlooking a small portion of the lake. Unlike other reveiwers, I did not find the staff to be... More

We've stayed here twice in 2 yrs. Each time we stayed in the deluxe motel rms. The 1st time on the ground level and recently on the second level. The rooms are the same except there is a 2 person jacuzzi in the ground level rooms and a 1 person jacuzzi built into the bathtub unit on the 2nd floor.... More
