A grand old inn by the sea, harkening back to times gone by. Excellent location, the owner was very accomodating. Get a room in the old inn - not in the surrounding buildings, which are newer and do not have any charm. The owner is in the process of making renovations, and I am eager to see the inn when... More

Found ourselves in Ogunquit and at the last minute were able to book a room at the Colonial. We found a gracious staff, clean room, and the charm we would expect (and enjoy!) in an older, beach colony hotel. The Colonial is close to everything yet quiet and breakfast on the porch was a great way to start our day! More

When I booked this place, I thought we were getting a charming family suite, not unlike the charming Victorian style main building. My husband, my 3 year old and I stayed here from Sept. 6th to the 10th, 2011. Boy were we in for a surprise to say the very least. When we walked over the threshold of our "suite",... More

Hi everybody, I’ve just returned from a night stay at the Colonial Inn in Ogunquit and here is my review. The Inn is located in the heart of downtown Ogunquit, it`s a fairly large hotel and it is nicely kept. The rooms are small and the walls are thin, but this is a classic New England style Inn. I booked... More

Just got home from a wonderful Labor Day weekend at the Colomial. We were on the fence about staying there but gave it a try based on the review of a familly with three teens. We have two plus a friend for the weekend. The extended suite proved to be perfect for two adults and three teens. Must admit that... More

Loved it at the Colonial. Had a great time sitting on the front porch, talking with other guests, reading from one of the many rocking chairs, or taking advantage of the tables and chairs and eating outside. The big porch is a great place to people watch too. The location is very centralized and so close to everything, you can... More

We stayed in a suite at the Colonial. We were able to get a pretty last minute reservation. While the room layout was different - you walked right into a bedroom with two twin beds, it worked for us as we always like to have the kids in a separate room (there was a door from the twin beds). As... More

We knew exactly what we were getting and for the price, this is a great location. The staff seems upbeat and were helpful in providing recommendations. We stayed in a family suite and boy, had it seen better days. Things were clean, just woefully old and needing an update. For one night, this was ok but I couldn't imagine staying... More

Our family (total of 5 with 3 teens), took a very last-minute trip to Ogunquit this past week. We vacation up here just about every year. We decided to get away for 4 days (3 nights). After an extensive search for vacancies on-line Ogunquit, Wells, Kennebunkport), it seemed every hotel in the area that we were somewhat familiar with was... More
