The Inn is in a great location in Portland. Benefit is off-street parking. The rooms are on the 2nd & 3rd Floor and you must tackle steep steps. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The Innkeeper is/was not on the premises but his morning staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The morning breakfast is fruit, muffins and... More

We went back here a second time. The last visit was 2 years ago. Again we found a very nice place at a reasonable price. A short walk to the Old Port district. Well kept rooms but the beat part is the girl that met us and let us in early. Carrie, the house keeper/tour guide/entertainer made the visit even... More

I am not a fan of B&Bs. This may have changed that impression. We only had one night in Portland and wanted a reasonable, convenient stay. I was leary when arrived because it seemed to sit on a less than cozy street. But very close to a main thoroughfare. Room wasn't ready when we arrived. No big deal. We parked... More

We arrived at the Percy Inn in the late afternoon in early October 2012. We were traveling with another couple and upon arriving at The Percy Inn found envelopes at the desk with our names on them and our room assignment/keys inside with a note from the owner welcoming us and telling us that he was away from the Inn... Finding accommodation for one night in Portland during the Foliage Festival period was not easy. My husband and I were pleased with our stay at The Percy Inn,although my husband thought the room price was expensive when compared with other B&Bs we had stayed in elsewhere on our trip through New England. We were up graded to the Dorothy Parker Room... I arrived back in the US headed to Portland ME without a room reservation. Called the Inn and managed to get a last minute deal on a cancellation. I appreciated the deep discount and was willing to overlook a few minor details than if I had paid full rates. The Inn has the charm of an old building. Steep staircase... More

This old inn has lovely bones, but needs a fresh coat of paint and a cohesiveness of style. It is a mish mash of tastes. The winding stair case is lovely, but would recommend that you only take in what you need for the night, if you don't want to lug it and down up the stairs. The breakfast was... More

Fantastic location, beautiful room, very friendly. Nice continental breakfast with yummy warm blueberry pie! and freshly baked sweet breads. Free on-site parking lot. Bike storage in garage. Yes we arrived late and found key in envelope, but that was OK for us and is not an unusual practice with B & Bs. We had the Longfellow room on the second... More

If you are looking for a warm welcome upon arrival, go somewhere else. The owner doesn't live on site and we arrived late afternoon our key to the room was left out in an envelope. The parlor door was closed so it was not inviting. We managed to find our way up 2 flights of winding stairs with falling! The... More
