Excellent B&B in town. Excellent service. Nice people. Although short, I really enjoyed my one night visit on business. Its nice to sit in front of the fire and relax. Rooms were very clean and well appointed.

Ken and Ellen Barnes' Lindsey House B & B provides a warn and inviting setting for every guest. The well appointed Inn is overseen by innkeeper Patricia, who ensures your needs are met. From providing local and area information to making sure there are fresh sweets on the buffet at night, she is always in attendance. When she is on... More

Warm and welcoming, the Captain Lindsey House of Rockland, Maine envelopes its guests with the feeling of stepping into the timeless elegance of Maine's seafaring past. Owned by a pair of former Maine windjammer captains, there is a true basis for its maritime authenticity. Furnished with nautical antiques, it belies its former existence as a bank (the heavy barred door... More

A great B&B in Rockland not far from the Ferry Terminal out to North Haven and Vinalhaven. It was recommended to us by friends on North Haven. Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was also quite spacious. The common areas are also well appointed. Patricia, the innkeeper, is gracious and helpful. There were some goodies set out... More

While the "bed" side of the equation was definitely up to the standard we normally enjoy at a premier b&b, we were quite disappointed in the breakfast. There was a hot dish - not quite sure what it was except there were blueberries in it. It sat on the sideboard with some sausage links nearby. Oh, there were some hard... More

We had a delightful experience. The staff was warm and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent, and the pastries and pie (did I say pie?) were exceptional. So many extras made our stay enjoyable. And the location is convenient to shops and restaurants. Thank you Captain Lindsey!

I took my wife on a long deserved vacation and we stayed at this really nice facility. Our every wish was catered to even though we were not the only guests. For example I mentioned to the manager that my wife wanted to have lobster 3 times and day and then next day she cooked a lobster and scrambled egg... More

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast and snacks were lovely touches. The main shopping district in directly next to the B&B and the ferry terminal is a couple of hundred yards away.

Having arrived without a reservation to escape wet weather while cruising in Penobscot Bay, we were exceptionally lucky to find a mid-week vacancy here, and so had the unique pleasure of meeting one of the inn's owners, Ellen Barnes, filling in for her vacationing inn-keeper. What a complete pleasure it was to rest here for two nights in a lovely... More
