There aren't many things to do in Portland unless you have family here. Even then, there aren't many attractions and during holiday weekends, it can be quite boring. You must have a rental car to be here because the bus services are extremely limited. Otherwise, you'll have to rely on cabs to get you back and forth. It costs roughly... More

We stayed at the Knights Inn in South Portland in early October 2011, and it was a surprisingly good stay for the price that we paid. From first appearances, it looks a bit sketchy; however, our impressions quickly improved when we saw the room. Upon arrival, we were checked-in relatively quickly at the Inn's main office; the Inn is such... More

The hotel was nice on the inside, very clean and neat in appearance. The air conditioning worked great! It is a good place to stay, but my only complaint was that it was a bit noisy. The hotel is right off a main road and you could hear the cars all night, pretty sure there is little insulation in the... More

My husband and i stayed there for one night in the winter. There were not even fitted sheets on the beds! The floor wasnt vaccuumed and the bathroom wasnt clean. When my husban went to complain they informed us that if we were not satisfied we should take our money elsewhere, which is exactly what we do. This is a... More

WOW...I have never been treated with such disrespect...from the moment I walked in to check in, the staff was SO RUDE. They verbally assaulted my friend...we didn't even feel comfortable staying there and could not get refunded so we booked another hotel and paid for both! Disgusting stench in the room...and nasty. Also, they don't follow through with their online... More

At the 3 in the morning and in need of some rest, my wife & I decided to lay our heads at this motel. It's over priced for the quality though our room was moderately clean. Our real surprise came in the morning when the cleaning staff pounded on our door at 11:05am telling us it was checkout time. Checkout... More

I was looking for a cheap overnight near the lighthouses in South Portland. The Knights Inn was inexpensive, and had the amenities I wanted: Refrigerator, microwave oven, bed, and television. (Not sure if it has wireless, since I did not bring my laptop on this trip). IMHO, this is a step above the Rodeway Inn down the street, which is... More
