This is an average hotel with older rooms, not very updated. The price was high compared to others in the area, and there was little services provided. The rooms were clean, the pool was clean, but we had to wait to use it because there was a prom taking place and there were teenagers everywhere. More

Recently stayed here for business. It was ok....It appears they took over for the Wyndam and were in the process of remodeling, I think. My room was on the 7th floor and it felt VERY old and not too clean. There was an old smell and just the overall apprearance didn't give you that clean feeling. I also held a... More

I was there with my small children this last weekend. The hotel room we had was clean and comfortable. The staff at check in was super friendly. While there we had an unfortunate incident with my youngest son and had to call an ambulance it was the scariest time in my life but every single staff member that was there... More

Our first room was on the 3rd floor...the smell was AWFUL and the tub had mildew ALL OVER it. The very nice young man at the front desk moved us to the 6th floor. The actual tub was clean but the under side of the soap holders in the tub were icky. The rooms obviously don't get vacuumed around edges... More

We stayed at this property the night before an early flight. The front desk staff was pleasant and well informed. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Since we were traveling to Mexico we tested out our snorkels in the pool, great practice and lots of fun. The property is at the tail end of some significant renovations which have... More

Stayed here overnight during a business trip through Maine. The rounded tower construction gave the room an interesting shape. The staff were very pleasant on check-in (and, of course, you get the great cookie!). The room was clean and comfortable, and the free wifi was a nice perk. Good water pressure, which I always appreciate, and easy check-out. The hotel... More

When we arrived at our room, the door was almost closed, but not locked, and we did not need a key to enter. My protest to the front desk was met with disinterest: the clerk said, "Oh, housekeeping must have forgotten to shut the door." When I asked for a different room, I was told that the only other rooms... More

I was a regular customer of the this hotel when it was a Wyndham for several years and always enjoyed my stay. I was very happy upon my recent return in late February to find that it had been given a major facelift and was now a DoubleTree hotel, which is part of the Hilton family. This works great for... To begin, this hotel was originally a (very low-rated) Wyndham resort, before that it was a (just as low-rated) Sheraton. I booked a "Three star hotel stay in Portland, Maine" through Hotwire and ended up getting the Wyndham resort back in December. I was told that I would receive a continental breakfast, and amenities included a hot tub. I called... More
