lovely owners, cute cat and great location and great value for money. I went for a walk (20 meters from the motel) on the seawall and watched a beaver in the pond beside the motel the night we stayed there. GREAT. More

We stayed at this motel with our three children last June. The kids would have preferred staying in Bar Harbor for all of the action, but my husband and I loved this place. While the room was very basic and simple, it was very clean and well maintained. The rate was terrific compared to what I looked at in BH.... More

We've stayed here in the past. My husband grew up on MDI so we know the area well. This motel has not been updated nor improved since its construction, we think. Its best feature is its location - really seaside at Seawall. But there's nothing else nearby and it is so dreary........ More

Spur of the moment mid winter hiking trip to Acadia National Park was made both comfortable and enjoyable with my stay at the Seawall Motel. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and owners cordial and welcoming. Directly across from the ocean and on the quiet side of the island, the Seawall is a great choice for Mount Desert Island... It was lovely staying at this motel on the Quiet Side of MDI over the Labor Day weekend. The room was very clean and spacious, and the wireless internet was fast and reliable. Dave and Vicki were very friendly, and the free breakfast included bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and juice. The best part about staying at this motel was... More

Beautiful, quiet, clean, comfortable, fantastic views, ample continental breakfast among interesting fellow travelers - all describe this very special motel on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. But the thing that brings me home from a beautiful spot in Spain to celebrate my birthday here is the genuine welcome and attention offered by Dave, Vicki and Speedbump! This is... More

You can not bet the location if you want to be in a beautiful, quiet place, away from the madness of Bar Harbor. Of course, you are a fair drive from Bar Harbor, if that is your goal. Not mine... The view of the ocean is perfect. right across the road. The owner are great, helpful and really nice. The... More

We will keep up with them until they are gone in a few weeks. Thanks for pointing it out. I appreciate seeing it from... More
