We stayed here to avoid the crowds at Bar Harbor and we were delighted in our choice. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. Very impressed and we will return again in the future! More

We chose Kingsleigh Inn as our Acadia base for the Southwest Harbor location and great breakfast reviews. Both exceeded our expectations, with breakfast being a multiple course affair including dessert! But what made this inn truly marvelous were the innkeepers whose presence and particularity with every detail made their life's investment in the inn so evident. There was a wine... More

We spent 4 nights in the Turret Suite at the end of September. As many others have posted, Kingsleigh Inn is well managed and offers good value. It was delightful to eat breakfast each morning on the flower filled porch. Red and white wines with a small appetizer were set out each evening from 5-6. Coffee, tea, soft drinks and... More

Four of us traveled New England for two weeks and spent two nights at the Kingsleigh Inn. We chose it because we wanted to be in a quieter area away from Bar Harbor which seemed too touristy. What a treat to get to know Pamela and Brian who are congenial, humorous hosts, to have their knowledge of the area and... More

The Kingsleigh Inn is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Acadia National Park. We stayed there four nights in September and would have loved to have stayed longer. Another reviewer has remarked that Pamela and Bryan clearly love their business, and we agree. Indeed, they have mastered the art (as well as the business) of running a B&B. This... More

Pamela and Bryan welcomed us and enchanted us for the 2 nights that we were guests. The breakfasts are truly special and served by Bryan with a flair. The afternoon wine and cheese hour is also very nice. But the key was the warmth exuded by Pamela and Bryan. The location in Sowthwest Harbor is ideal, away from the Coney... More

This really must be the best place to stay in SW Harbour. The owners clearly love their business and it shows. The breakfast is certainly different - it's three top-notch courses, starter, main course and, I kid you not, dessert. Excellent. The rooms are spotless, the location is great for local restaurants etc and the owners will help you out... More

Many thanks to Kingsleigh Inn for giving us such a memorable time on Mount Desert island. The Inn was very well sorted with many unexpected amenities such as fresh cookies and pastries throughout the day and a huge amount of island info, brochures, and trail maps. Their 5:00 social hour, offering wine and a snack, was great. We had the... More

Very nice inn with good attention to detail. Liked the afternoon tea/coffee/cookies. Cocktail hour was nice as well esp. after hiking and biking all day in the park. Also liked availability of coffee and tea all day. Nice to relax with at night. Breakfast was nice. I don't usually have a big breakfast but portions seemed a little small even... More

We were so sorry to hear that this guest did not have the quiet, relaxing experience that we strive to provide with our many amenities, guest services and carefully appointed guestrooms and gathering areas. We remember the time described very well - my Mother's Wedgewood was dancing across the china cabinet's glass shelves in addition to the whole house shaking!... More

Been going to southwest harbor for years. Bryan and Pamela pay great attention to detail: chocolates, morning pastry available an hour before breakfast, 24 hour self-serve coffee bar, 5pm tea/baked goods, 6pm wines and snacks, and a neat comfortable place. Bryan and Pamela are very good hosts and great sources of reliable information about attractions, hikes, boat rides, etc. The... More
